Asmita Sood On Wondering If Social Distancing Will Make Web Content More 'Sanskari'

The web world in India has certainly witnessed its share of ups and downs when it comes to good shows coming in. While there has been a section of fantastic shows, the web content in India has witnessed a rather downfall overall. A lot is because of the 'unwanted' boldness only for the sake of it.

In an interview with Iwmbuzz, actor Asmita Sood opened up on just making it back to Shimla before the lockdown began and wondering if web content will become more 'sanskari' due to the idea of social distancing. Sood said, “After shooting of both Poison 2 and Dil Hi Toh Hai 3 was temporality canceled due to COVID- 19 outbreak, I quickly flew back to The Apple City. Glad I did for very soon the whole country shut down. Since Shimla has zero cases, we have more freedom to move about, unlike my red zoned friends in Mumbai and Delhi.”

Talking about Poison 2, she said, “Shoot had been on since January, we were in Goa when locals asked us to shut shop. With Goa also in the green zone, I hope we complete the remaining 50% schedule left in this tourist haven. But again a lot depends on permissions to cross state or district lines. We have a superb cast in above Vishal Pandya directed Zee5 series with Aftab Shivdasani making his web debut, other actors (Zain Imaam and Rahul Dev) are equally talented .”

How bold is it? “Like most web offerings Poison 2 will also grab similar eyeballs; I am lucky not to need to expose or do bold scenes; other girls will do it. I was clear about the same before hopping on board.”

Here she adds,” that may be new social distancing norm will make web content more sanskari. Such a move broad-base the www audience graph .”

“Having said that the web has some great content. No wonder I am happy with digital until and unless I net a show as juicy as Badtameez Dil to get back on the tube,” she ends.
