Star Plus' Dil Jaise Dhadke...Dhadakne Do, as we know is all set to witness a leap and we also know that none other than actor Ashi Singh has been roped in to play the female lead in the show.
Singh has managed to become a household name owing to her character as Naina in Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, where the show ran for almost two and a half years.
After taking a break for almost seven months, Singh returns in Dil Jaise Dhadke Dhadakne Do and in a recent interview with Times of India, she opened up on the same.
She said, “The show revolves around banishing age-old superstitions, and I play an interesting character. When I played Naina, I had firmly resolved that I would not play a typical sari-clad bahu role in the future. So, there were offers, but I refused all of them. Though I will be seen wearing saris in my new show, I don’t play a typical bahu in it. I am glad that I am doing something different.”
On willing to look glamorous for a role and being asked upon us she needs to shed her simple image, Singh said “I am an actress and it is my job to look glamorous if the role requires it. Having said that, I take pride in the fact that I have a simple personality and simplicity is my virtue. One can look glamorous, but it is important to be talented, too. If you look around, you will see many girls who are glamorous. But in the race to look glamorous, most of them end up looking the same. That way, I stand out.”
We wish Singh all the best for the role.

Really happy for Ashi Singh bagging the lead role. Will watch the show for her. She will look too good in a glamorous role.

All shows depend on the story mostly then come the actors.. Initially the ctors can hold the viewers but if the story is not good it will not work. Ths DJDDD does not look promising at all.
