Anupamaa: Megha attempts to kill Aadhya, but Anupama takes the knife's blow instead

Star Plus' Anupamaa continues to captivate with its latest dramatic twists. The recent six-month leap reveals that Aadhya is alive, contrary to previous beliefs. Determined to reunite with her daughter by Janmashtami, Anupama plans for Aadhya to meet her at the temple, believing the festival's crowd will shield her from Megha.

As Aadhya eagerly prepares for the temple visit, Megha grows increasingly suspicious of her sudden joy. Her doubts lead her to search Aadhya's room, where she finds a photograph of Aadhya with Anuj and Anupama. This shocking discovery makes Megha realise that Aadhya is their daughter. Fearful of losing Aadhya, Megha decides to take her to the airport under the pretence of going to the temple. However, their car is halted by the festival crowds, and Aadhya seizes the chance to escape.

Despite the challenges, Anupama successfully rescues Aadhya and brings her to the temple, where Anuj is seen celebrating Janmashtami. In the upcoming episode of Anupamaa, as the trio shares a heartfelt reunion, Megha remains adamant that if Priya (Aadhya) cannot be hers, she won't let her belong to anyone else. Seeing Priya with Anuj and Anupama triggers Megha's resolve to harm her. Previously, Megha had threatened to do anything to keep Priya, even kill her if necessary.

Spotting a sharp knife used for breaking coconuts for the prasad, Megha seizes it and approaches Aadhya, who is emotionally hugging Anuj. Just as Megha is about to strike Aadhya with the knife, Anupama intervenes and takes the blow to protect Aadhya, demonstrating a mother's willingness to sacrifice her life for her child.

In a shocking twist, Anupama is stabbed, but the intense smoke from the ongoing aarti at the temple obscures the attack, and no one immediately notices. As Anupama collapses with the knife lodged in her abdomen, Aadhya finally sees the wound and cries out, drawing everyone's attention. As Anupama's consciousness fades, Aadhya kneels beside her, realising the depth of Anupama's love and how wrong she was to believe that Anupama didn't love her because she was adopted.
