Anupamaa: Anupama confronts Malti Devi, urging her not to interfere between her and her children

In tonight's Anupamaa episode, Malti Devi (Apara Mehta) inquires if Anupama (Rupali Ganguly) has anything to say, to which she responds affirmatively, mentioning Pakhi's (Muskan Bamne) age and behaviour as challenging to understand and easy to provoke. Anupama expresses that she told her that Anupama loves Dimple more than Pakhi, which she believes was wrong. She emphasizes that both her daughter and daughter-in-law hold equal places in her heart, even though, at times, she may have to prioritize one over the other. Anupama assures that her love for both of them will remain the same. Malti Devi questions if Anupama is insinuating that she couldn't balance her son and career. Anupama clarifies that she didn't intend to imply that and urges Malti Devi not to look for excuses to fight. She urges Malti Devi not to let a minor issue become a cause for conflict and reminds her that she doesn't engage in taunts, instead expressing her thoughts openly. Anupama asks Malti Devi to consider how Pakhi might have felt when she mentioned that. She encourages her to treat the house as hers and mediate misunderstandings rather than escalating them.

Malti Devi questions why Anupama didn't ask her if she told Pakhi about the situation. Anupama asserts that she knows her children well. She asks Malti Devi not to bring herself between Anupama and her children. Anupama confesses that she had forgiven Malti Devi before but is unwilling to do so again. She warns against making her forget the respect she has for her saas. Malti Devi retorts that Anupama prioritizes Shah's house over her own home. Malti Devi is shocked to see Anuj and begins to apologize to Anupama. Anuj and Ankush have lunch with Romil. Anuj asks Romil about his interest in music, and Romil reveals that he plays the guitar, which he learned online. Ankush shares that he used to play the piano. Romil connects the dots and asks if they want to discuss something with him. On the other hand, Anupama wonders if they will address the Romil situation, while Malti Devi questions why they went out to talk. Anuj and Ankush ask Romil if he has feelings for a girl, and Romil confirms his interest. Anuj reminisces about his college days when he had feelings for Anu but couldn't express them due to his lack of guitar skills. Romil mentions how quickly things progress nowadays, leading to a brief awkward moment. Malti Devi is shocked to learn of the conversation and suggests punishing Romil instead of counselling him. Anupama argues that it's essential to educate teenagers rather than imposing restrictions. She asserts that parents have a responsibility to guide their children about right and wrong. Malti Devi disagrees, suggesting that phones should be taken away. Anupama counters, emphasizing the need for communication and understanding between parents and children.

Anuj asks Romil who he would turn to for help in case of an issue, and Romil mentions searching the internet for solutions. Ankush points out that not all internet information is accurate, especially concerning topics like sexual education. Anuj urges Romil not to feel awkward, explaining that too much information can be more harmful than misinformation. Romil thanked them for the conversation. Anuj and Ankush emphasize the importance of communication, even across generational gaps, and Romil agrees.
