Param Singh Shares Disturbing DMS Of Priyankit & Other Fans: ‘They Say Ankit Gupta & Me Are GAY’

Param Singh, known for his work in shows like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, recently found himself at the center of social media backlash after he liked a post that included the phrase “flex a woman who has no guy friends.” The like quickly went viral, sparking criticism and accusations of misogyny across online platforms.

In an exclusive conversation with India Forums, Param addressed the controversy, clarifying his perspective and expressing surprise over the intense reaction the post received.

“Well, the quote spoke about being with a girl who has had a ‘clean past,’ toh main uspe like kar diya, ismein problem kya hai? Clean past ka matlab ye nahi ke virgin ladki hai aisa ya usse matlab hai. It means achhe ghar ki hai, achhi ladki hai, uske boyfriends bhi hoge toh koi problem nahi hai. She is sober, drugs nahi karti. Ya koi gaaliyan nahi deti, matlab respectful hai. Iska matlab hai clean past. Ab usme mujhe 'misogynist' bana diya matlab maine toh page nahi chalaya? Main follow kar raha tha because mujhe kuch acha laga hoga,” Param explained.

Addressing the broader criticism, Param shared that his intent was misinterpreted and that he hadn’t even noticed the controversial line in the post before liking it.

The actor also opened up about a more personal issue — the online trolling he and his close friend Ankit Gupta have been facing. When asked about a comment that labeled both of them as “men with issues,” Param shared disturbing messages he has received over the past few months.

“Mujhe na yeh messages aarahe hai on my Instagram handle that me and Ankit, we are gay. We sleep together aur humara kaam hai young ladkiyon ko fasana and all of that, ab main kya bolu inn sab baaton par?” he revealed.

When asked if this trolling started after the controversial post, Param clarified, “Not after this like, this is since many months now. His fans and Priyankit ke fans, everybody they are just bombarding all of us.”

As Param sets the record straight, it’s evident that while social media can be unforgiving, he is choosing to focus on what truly matters and not let the noise define his truth. Despite the ongoing negativity, Param remains unfazed. He added, “Usko bhi main serious leke beth jau, bura maanu, block karte rahu. Good thing is I am not very active and I do not read a lot of comments. Reddit wala na jab the media messaged me, tumlog ko toh main kahi saalo se jaanta hoon, toh I thought maybe this is something serious. That’s why I am commenting otherwise I have realised one thing and that is everybody has an opinion and people have a lot of time these days.”
