Alia Bhatt, after years of portraying complex characters, seeks a shift, inspired by her daughter, Raha. In an interview with Grazia, she shared how Raha is influencing her creative choices.
Alia revealed a growing desire to make a film Raha can watch, influenced by motherhood. She's drawn to comedy, as she hasn't done one yet. "The reason I’m being pulled towards a comedy is that I haven’t done one. You have to find something that’s inspiring you or pulling you towards it," she said. Although no projects are confirmed, she hinted at upcoming work. "There is some exciting stuff, nothing I can fully talk about but let’s just say if I put my heart into it, I will land up going in that direction,” she said.
Alia shared that working with her husband has been a positive experience, with no downsides, only advantages. The main challenge is adjusting to their daughter Raha's schedule. They often shoot at night to spend days with Raha. "There are days he's shooting, days I am. We're not always on set together," she said. Raha has even visited the sets, enjoying the environment. Alia emphasized that parenting isn't a solo effort. "She's got a very busy life herself with classes, playdates, grandparents, and activities. It does take a village, in a sense, and I feel very grateful for all my loved ones and the privilege that I have with this support system," she said.
Alia Bhatt's upcoming films showcase her versatility and ambition. She'll star in Alpha, an action thriller directed by Shiv Rawail, where she plays a commanding officer alongside Sharvari Wagh. This film, part of YRF’s Spy Universe, will feature Alia in a dynamic role.
Additionally, she's reuniting with Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Love & War, a period romantic drama also starring Vicky Kaushal. These projects highlight her ability to take on diverse roles and work with prominent filmmakers.
