Alia Bhatt is currently basking in the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai, which is on its way to breaking the Rs 100 crore mark. She will soon be seen in SS Rajamouli's RRR, which stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. There is also a discussion of her doing director Kortala Siva's next alongside Jr. NTR, however, due to logistical issues, the paperwork is still pending.
Now, Pinkvilla has reported that Alia Bhatt is in talks to join yet another big-budget Pan-India project. It stated that Alia is in discussions with SS Rajamouli for his forthcoming jungle adventure starring Mahesh Babu. According to the latest reports, SS Rajamouli and his father, KV Vijayendra Prasad, have been working on the screenplay for their next collaboration with Mahesh as the protagonist for the past few months.
They've established various characters throughout this time and believe Alia is the right fit for the female protagonist. A person close to the situation mentioned that the duo also believe that the young actress will form a good match with Mahesh.
The reports state that the plan, similar to RRR, is to cast performers from several industries to give the picture a pan-India appeal. Alia will play a larger role in this African jungle adventure than RRR.
The film is planned to start shooting in the middle of next year, and Mahesh and Alia are expected to finish all of their current commitments by then. It is planned to be shot in genuine rainforests to get the magnitude correct, and Rajamouli and his crew are likely to go on a recce by the middle of this year, once the events surrounding RRR have passed them by. Of course, there will be a lot of visual effects in the narrative. However, the plan is to shoot in genuine locales as well to capture the essence of jungles, the report stated.

I like Mahesh but he can't emote much, he was a fine actor as a kid - looks like he tried to copy his dad too much & ended up in the middle (his dad Krishna was famously known for poor acting, dancing & dialogue delivery skills even after being a Superstar - he did have hits & rare good performances like "Alluri Seetharamaraju"). I can't see a chemistry of Mahesh either with Alia tbh! Pooja Hegde, Kriti, Rashmika would make better pairing with Mahesh a bit taller girls.
