Akshay Kumar on Ugly Fight with Priyanka; 'Call Priyanka and Check if she has an Issue with me'

This morning we shared an amazing example of a friendship in Bollywood wherein one friend went on to the extent of shifting his movie's release date to give space to his friend's movie. The friends in question here are Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan. Bhushan postponed the release of his upcoming film Marjaavaan starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh and Tara Sutaria that was scheduled for a release on November 8, 2019 to November 15 for his friend Dinesh Vijan's Bala.

However, when we thinking about more such friends in B-Town, one name that crossed out minds was of Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra! But, as the saying goes, friendships are fragile in Bollywood; with time even these two, who were once besties turned enemies!

Akshay Kumar and his romantic affairs with his co-stars have always been the talk-of-the-town. His lovey-dovey tales with actresses like Shilpa Shetty and Raveena Tandon made headlines back then. Later, his unbreakable bond with Priyanka, which the duo termed as "friendship" raised eyebrows.

As we all know, Priyanka is now happily married to Nick Jonas and Akshay on the other hand has been building up an ideal husband and a loving father's image. But, this story dates back to the time when PeeCee, who is now a Global star was carving a niche for herself in the Hindi film industry.

There were strong rumors everywhere about Priyanka and Akshay being more than 'just good friends'. Their romantic tales spread like a wild fire to the extent that Akshay's wife and actress Twinkle Khanna had to intervene and as per a report in TOI, she gave Akshay an ultimatum. And to save his marriage, the Khiladi then vowed to never to work with Priyanka again.

Later, a few years down the line, when the Khiladi Kumar appeared on Rajat Sharma's Aap Ki Adalat, he was quizzed if he has made a promise to his wife to never work with Ms Chopra again. To this Akshay has said, "There is nothing like that. I have worked on five films with Priyanka. It's not like I don't want to work with her. Except for Rani Mukerji, I have worked with every heroine. If there is an opportunity, I will surely work with Priyanka Chopra."

On being probed further, Akshay said, "Let us call Priyanka Chopra and check if she has an issue with me. That way you will know for sure."

Another report in TOI had revealed that a massive showdown between Akshay and Twinkle took place in a resort in Goa in the year 2004 owing to his growing proximity with Priyanka. 

However, when Twinkle was asked about it she said, "How is it even possible? All this while, I've been working in Dubai and my son is with Akshay and his sister in Goa. I don't know why people are saying such things."
