The marriage of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan has been under media scrutiny since months now. In her career, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has stayed away from sultry roles. The only few exceptions being Dhoom 2 and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil where her bold avatar regaled fans. Right at the start of her career, she had said she won’t expose to get famous. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said even if it meant end of her film career she would not regret it. The actress said she would never like to embarrass her family with her onscreen image.
She was quoted as saying, “I won’t discard my image with my clothes. I will be happy even I get no work. Certain things have to be private for the man you love, the family you go to as a daughter-in-law and finally, as a mother.” Aishwarya Rai Bachchan spoke about how the career of an actress was short-lived. She said she would be ashamed if her relatives, in-laws felt bad seeing what she was doing on screen. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is still a top actress in terms of popularity said that stardom would only last a while, maybe a decade by family is forever.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan further said, “I want to be a Hema Malini or a Jaya Bachchan and be remembered like that.” Both these actresses had illustrious careers. Jaya Bachchan has always been loved for her work. Even during her peak, she stayed away from glamorous roles. Fans feel the boldest role of her career was that of Saba in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The actress said working with Karan Johar was always on her wish-list so she took up the role. There was a bit of physical intimacy in the film, and Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had sizzling chemistry.
Jaya Bachchan has always been critical of sexual content in movies. Talking at a film festival, she said, “Everything is thrown at our face. People have forgotten subtlety. Open display of affection is considered smart… sharam naam ki toh cheez hee nahi hai.”
Amidst all the gossip, this proves that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had deep respect for her mother-in-law as an artiste.

Ah lmao her fans bash Bachchans for being regressive and sexist when she also has the same traits to a lesser extent. Man, Aish-Abhishek, set up a nuclear family if y'all are still together. Free your kid of the endless misogyny
