Actor and dancer Raghav Juyal, who plays Parvez in the new OTT release The Ba**ds of Bollywood, is currently at the centre of online buzz. A particular scene from the show has gone viral, drawing attention from both fans and industry watchers.
In the episode, Parvez is shown as an ardent admirer of Emraan Hashmi. One moment that struck a chord with viewers was when he performed Kaho Na Kaho from the 2004 film Murder. What stood out even more was Juyal singing not just the Hindi part but also the Arabic portion of the song.
Audience reaction and actor’s take
Clips of the performance have spread quickly on social media, with many praising the detailing in Juyal’s portrayal. Responding to the wave of appreciation, the actor told News18 Showsha he was moved by the response. “Bahut accha response mila. Expect kiya tha maine bhi aur Aryan ne bhi ke aisa hoga. I really worked hard on myself and created something new. Bahut maza aaya mujhe. Emraan sir aaye aur woh scene hua, main rone bhi lag gaya scene mein,” he shared.
Juyal added that the scene worked because he chose not to force humour into it. “Agar main comedy karne ki koshish karta toh ajeeb ho jaati, lekin dil se maine aansoo nikale aur woh gaana gaya. Maine specially Arabic version gaya, I thought usse funny lagega,” he explained.
On-screen energy with Aryan Khan
The series also stars Aryan Khan, and Juyal described their on-set bond as unpredictable. “Aryan aur mera dono ka dimaag thoda khudafaati hai. Dono ka dimaag mil jaata toh kuch aur hi ban jaata screen par,” he said.
He recalled how people on set could sense something unusual whenever the two worked together. “Mera aur Aryan ka combination bahut ghatak hai,” Juyal remarked, calling their dynamic “lethal.”
The viral scene has boosted interest in Juyal’s role, making Parvez one of the most-discussed characters from The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The mix of nostalgia for an Emraan Hashmi classic and Juyal’s interpretation seems to have struck the right note with viewers.
