Star Plus’ newly launched mythological show Namah starring Savi Thakur and Vikkas Manaktala in the lead roles of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva respectively, started off on a high note. However, after only after twenty eight days of run, lead Vikkas Manaktala will be replaced from the show by Tarun Khanna.
Talking about his exit from the show, Vikkas, in an interview with TOI, said,“Yes, my agreement with Namah is over. It’s a mutual decision that has been taken by the production house and me. Low ratings and a lack of connect with the audience are the two reasons for this creative call. Since it’s a finite series, a lot of changes creatively and within the team have happened to make the show viable for the makers. This is what I have been told. I had a small journey, and the feedback has been positive. I am now moving forward to the next chapter.”
After Vikkas’ exit from the show, we hear that actress Chhavi Pandey who is seen playing goddess Parvati in the show is also said to be replaced. Reports suggest that makers want to roped in a fresh face opposite Tarun now.
We tried contacting Chhavi but couldn’t get through her.
We hear that actress Rachana Parulkar will be replacing Chhavi in the show. Rachana has been a part of shows like Ek Mutthi Aasmaan and Bharat Ka Veerputra-Maharana Pratap.
