After opening up on financial crisis, Shagufta Ali offered role in a film

The last year and a half has been dreadful for an array of people owing to the pandemic, which we are still fighting with. While so many have talked about how struggling it has been for everybody, a number of actors, namely veterans have opened up on how they have struggled financially during this time and trying hard to fight the challenge.

One of them was female actor and veteran Shagufta Ali. The actor came out in the open to talk about the various struggles she has been facing financially, following which she was offered help by a number of people including some other celebrities as well.

While, this was great, she mentioned how she needs work to get back on her feet and asked for work as well. Finally, after all this time, the actor has been offered a role in an upcoming film and she is back on set.

She has already shot for two days for a film that was offered by one of her old colleagues from the industry. Talking about it with ETimes, Ali said, "My friend Avinash Dhyani offered me a role for his film Sumeru which I agreed to do although it is a small role but an important one."

She further added,  "As am undergoing treatment for my eyes, my doctors allowed me to do as it was not a big role and the lights used in these are not as harsh as it used to be in the past.''

Earlier, she said that she is open to working again as it's important for her to get back to set to sustaining her life.

We hope she feels better and is able to get work as much.
