Adipurush: Prabhas sparks playful trolling & Jesus comparisons; Saif Ali Khan as Raavan errupts meme fest

The long-awaited film 'Adipurush', starring Prabhas, has finally hit theaters, offering a contemporary retelling of the epic Ramayana. With Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, and Sunny Singh as Laxman, fans were eager to experience this mythological tale on the big screen. 

Although the initial teaser received mixed reviews, the release of the trailer generated renewed excitement among viewers. However, upon its release, 'Adipurush' failed to meet the sky-high expectations of the audience, leading to disappointment expressed through memes and critical comments on Twitter.

Some fans humorously compared Prabhas' appearance in the film to that of Jesus Christ, deviating from the expected portrayal of Lord Rama, resulting in playful trolling. 

Similarly, Saif Ali Khan's depiction of Ravana faced criticism, with fans expressing that it resembled an Afghan invader rather than the iconic King Ravana. The inclusion of unconventional tattoos on Indrajeet's body also left fans dissatisfied. However, the primary target of criticism was the poor quality of visual effects (VFX), subjecting it to harsh roasting and ridicule.

Fans' reactions have sparked a wave of memes and jokes on social media, showcasing their opinions and reviews in a lighthearted manner. Despite the mixed response, 'Adipurush' had an impressive start, selling over 62,000 seats on its first day in popular cinema chains. 

As anticipation continues to build, eager moviegoers have already booked more than 1.12 lakh tickets for the upcoming weekend. By Thursday night, it is projected that the film will achieve a remarkable sale of 2.5 lakh tickets, setting new records in Hindi cinema bookings.
