Aamir Khan confirms superhero movie with Coolie director Lokesh Kanagaraj; here's a look at his line-up

Aamir Khan has made a good comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par after the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie, a spiritual successor of Taare Zameen Par is about a basketball coach who has to train a team of players who have Down’s Syndrome. The actor has cast ‘real people’ in the movie adding to the authenticity. Aamir Khan will be seen next in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. The movie has Rajinikanth in the lead role with Nagarjuna playing the villain. Coolie also has stars like Aamir Khan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj and Kaali Venkat. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan confirmed that he is in talks with Lokesh Kanagaraj for another movie in the future.

The superstar confirmed the movie with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Aamir Khan said he is very excited as he is an amazing director. He also said it will take some time for it to get on the floors.

“The film will start next year in the second half, once I am done with the Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) film. I think, we will start shooting for it in September 2026.”

The superstar said that he is looking forward to his flick with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Aamir Khan’s last action film was Dhoom 3. He said he is kicked to return to the genre. Before that, he will be busy winding up his social film with Rajkumar Hirani. It is a biopic of Dadasaheb Phalke.

After the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan was very depressed. He had taken a total backseat from acting. However, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan met up with him one day and told him to make a comeback. Now, with his Dadasaheb Phalke biopic and Lokesh Kanagaraj movie, he has a truly good line-up. There are talks about Andaz Apna Apna 2 as well.
