A 30 second task was blown out of proportion & taken too personally: Akanksha Puri on the 'kiss' fiasco

Akanksha Puri appeared as one of the strongest contestants of Bigg Boss OTT 2 house. The actress's stint even though short lived was a controversial one. Right from the actress being denied an entry in the show on the first day to her recent kiss with co contestant Jad Hadid, Akanksha was one of the most talked about contestants in the house. 

Disappointed by her eviction from the show, Akanksha said, ''For starters, I am very disappointed by my eviction. I did not even think I will be evicted this early. And talking about my eviction from the show, I was abruptly sent to the activity room and then even when Salman sir came, he just announced my eviction and the screen went off. I did not even get the time to process my eviction or to even meet the contestants. Before i could even sink in my eviction from the show, I was out. so yes, I am very disappointed and disheartened too.''

We asked Akanksha about Salman Khan expressing his disappointment in her and Jad Hadid for the entire kiss incident. Replying to this the actress said, ''I do not understand why a 30 second task was blown out of proportion. Why was this it taken so personally? We were just doing a task. If this was something wrong, an announcement would have been made or else it would not have been telecasted. Yet, it was both telecasted and not even edited. However, we are on an OTT platform and I as an artist am aware of what I am doing and on what platform. But at that point of time I did it as a task and I knew I am doing it on Jio Cinema, a platform where I have already done a series and another show which involves kissing and love making too. But if you are comparing an OTT show with the main Bigg Boss, what difference do you see in both the shows? I do not feel I need to justify me performing a task which ultimately made my team win.''

Talking about why did she not defend herself in front of Salman, the actress said, ''If you watched the weekend ka vaar episode you'd know that I was not given any chance to speak. When Salman sir shoots he states that no body should talk until and unless they're asked to. I was only asked by him if I had done somethig like this before and I said Yes I have for my show, in-fact I have done something more than this too. I found it all biased.''
