3 Idiots’ professor, Achyut Potdar passes away at 91; death cause not revealed

Veteran actor Achyut Potdar, best known for his iconic role as a strict professor in the blockbuster movie "3 Idiots," passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 91. He died at Jupiter Hospital in Thane, where he was being treated for health complications. The cause of his death is yet to be disclosed. Potdar's funeral was scheduled for August 19, 2025, in Thane, as per reports. With a career spanning over 125 films and numerous TV shows, Potdar left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
