16 things you experience being an actor!

'A peaceful sleep for a long duration' - Oh it's a dream for you now dear actor! As we say, kuch paane ke liye kuch khona padta hai' so this is the first thing that an actor has to sacrifice. Being an actor, giving 12 hours of your daily routine for your shoot is a must for you but telecast issue doesn't make it happen. Sometime you just have to go on shooting for 18 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours and even more than that continuously and here you finally update your status or tweet - Sleep Deprived.'

'Having an off on Sunday' - A never ending wait for you

Sundays are no more Fundays for you, if you are an actor. It's like a biggest punishment you get being an actor. How badly you wish to have a family time on Sunday but this day isn't different from other weekdays for you at all. Get up, freshen up and rush for your shoot. Yeah! You get perks for shooting on a Sunday - Less traffic on roads (wink).

You become Diet Conscious

Maintaining a good figure/physique is a priority for an actor. Gone are the days when you can enjoy your favorite delicacies! Now, you have to maintain a good figure/physique and you have to forcefully become very choosy about your food habits. So, in short you start following a simple mantra - Salads In; Chocolates Out and don't forget to Workout. 

You try to hide your identity in public places to avoid getting mobbed

You work hard in your entire life to become well known but later you have to avoid being recognized wherever you go. Whether you go for shopping, for a movie or holidaying somewhere, you get mobbed by fans around or make headlines in the news as where were you spotted and with whom. That's why you always prefer wearing big shades. 

Your social media accounts are always hacked and you have too many fake profiles

Being active on social media is not an easy deal for you! You happily make an account of yours on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to connect yourself with your loved ones and fans but after some point of time, your accounts are hacked and forcefully you opt out from the world of social media. Yeah! You are now no more active on any social media accounts but hundreds of your fake accounts do exists - with your name, your pictures and yeah status updates about you enjoying your shoots and interacting with your fans as well.  

Common comments to be seen in your social media updates

Some of the common comments to be seen in your Facebook, Twitter or Insta updates are - I really love you please reply me once, Please RT once it will make my day, Please follow back, etc. but you feel overwhelmed to see how much your admirers love you. 

You are a pride of your home-town and family

Having gained so much fame, you become a pride of your home and your hometown as well. Your friends and loved ones feel proud of you. You are felicitated by your state government for being a pride of your hometown, you get special invitations from your schools and colleges as a special guest and you get special treatments from your friends and family members. This makes you feel very proud of yourself!

Friendship with your co-star is like a crime for you

Yeah it is! It's quite obvious that you will become a good friend of your co-star opposite you but it's not always easy! Just go for shopping or for a movie with him/her and be ready to answer to the question - 'Are you guys dating?'

Set becomes your first home and home becomes the second 

We often call our work place as our second home but this case is not the same if you are an actor. After spending 12 hours or more than that for all the seven days, you feel your set to be your first home and your home becomes your second home where the only thing you do is - Go and sleep.

People start calling you by your character name

We keep getting nicknames by our loved ones but this is something that takes over all other nicknames and even your real name. You are now being called by your character name. People recognize and call you by your character name, you are popular on your set by your character name and even your make - up or vanity van has a label of your character name but you feel good to be recognized by your character name.

Dream home in Mumbai is a big achievement for you

It's certainly a big achievement for you! Whether you are a Mumbaikar or have shifted to Mumbai to pursue your dream of becoming an actor, nothing can make you happier than getting your first dream home in Mumbai.

Rumors become a part of your life

It's like you eat rumor, you sleep rumor and drink rumor! Coming across rumors everyday becomes a part of your daily routine. You always keep listening to rumors upon you like - You are dating your co-star, throwing tantrums on set, quitting the show and many more. Some of the rumors are so weird that your actually enjoy laughing over it. Among all the rumors you have come across, the hit one is - Dating your co-star (wink).

You are tired of listening to some common dialogues from people around you

There is a very famous proverb in Hindi - 'Door Ke Dhol Suhavne Lagte Hain!' People think that your job is the easiest. You get to hear such words from your friends - Teri life ki toh aish hai yaar! Karna kya hai! Set pe jao, scenes ke ratte lagao, act karo, short breaks enjoy karo, itni fame milti hai, itne paise milte hain, itni aish humein mile toh hum bhi saara din kaam kar lein! Being an actor, only you know that how tough it is to be an actor where you get to face everyday challenges of entertaining people and without spending a single day with yourself and your loved ones.

You become a Travel Buff

You don't like to travel around the world! You are often called to attend events across the world and you keep travelling around the world to fulfill all those commitments but you don't even realize that gradually you turn out to be a big travel buff. Be it any short break or any occasion like New Year or Christmas, you plan a perfect holiday for yourself outside away from Mumbai - Nearby locations of Mumbai or abroad.

You hardly get time to spend sometime with your phone

Most of the time you are always in a shot which makes you stay away from your phone. Your phone is always alone in your make up room in a silent mode. You are back in your makeup room during your break time and you always see so many missed calls, whatsapp messages and other notifications in your phone. Sometimes you start to revert everyone but soon then you are again called for your shot or you are just so tired that you prefer taking a nap without checking your phone. This is how you skip reverting to everyone and your close ones often complain you of being out of touch with everyone!

You become a Selfie Addict

You hate the boredom on sets while you have to wait in your make up room for your scene to be shot. Thanks to the selfie trend that you have now got a new time pass on the sets. Clicking selfies alone or with your co-stars making weird faces, has now become your favorite time pass on the sets. You have now become a Selfie Addict and your fans enjoy this addiction of yours as well.

Though your life is not easy but you feel proud of what you are! You feel happy and proud of facing everyday challenges, having so many admirers, living the life of your dreams and giving happiness to your admirers by entertaining them every day.
