16 things reloaded in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa this season

It was just a few days ago when the rumours about actor Shahid Kapoor's exit from the celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa Season 8 had surfaced online. Now we hear that instead of Shahid, its filmmaker Karan Johar who will be quitting the show after completing eight episodes. At the moment, nothing has been officially confirmed. Nonetheless, whether the confirmation is a yes or no, it is an interesting gimmick.

Keeping this confusion aside, we bring to you the pull factors of Jhalak as this season is nevertheless a reloaded version with many prominent aspects.

1. SHAHID KAPOOR'S DHATING NAACH: Month ago, when news about Shahid's debut as a judge on the reality show was revealed, only a few people believed in his capabilities. No wonder, he has turned out to be a stunner on the show. His oomph factor has added an entertainment quotient to the show.

2. SHAHID AND K JO'S CHEMISTRY: The instant round of jokes and one-liners between Sasha and K Jo might be dim-witted, but is still entertaining.

3. THE JUDGES: Though all the four judges have similar authority, the words defining them are little sophisticated. For instance, there is a royal lounge for Shahid and Karan, and a Dance Guru panel consisting of choreographer Ganesh Hedge and Lauren Gottlieb.

4. SOAP QUEENS AND KINGS: The reloaded version of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa has renowned television actors including Sanaya Irani, Dipika Kakar, Radhika Madan, Vivian DSena, Faisal I Khan, Kavita Kaushik and Mohit Malik.

5. SHAHID'S HOSTING SKILLS: Being his television debut, everyone had presumed Shahid to be a serious evaluator battling to fit into the shoes of a reality show judge. Though Madhuri Dixit Nene has established a separate judging strata and matching her skills is unattainable, he made sure to be different. He is seen donning the judge's hat as well as presenting his hosting skills. Two in one!

6. POWER-PACK GIRLS: The girls have outnumbered boys this time. In case you missed, the list includes Sanaya Irani, Dipika Kakar, Radhika Madan, Kavita Kaushik, Shamita Shetty, Scarlett Melish Wilson and Subhreet Kaur.

7. 4M'S OF JHALAK: Guess? Manish Paul? Yes, it's correct. What about other 3M's? Well, it is also related to Manish. As described by K Jo, it is Manish's Madness, Madness and more Madness. If judges and celebrities have been the highlights of the show, he is the support. Kapil Sharma's joke might get repeated on his show; however, Manish’s gigs are certainly dumb and funny.  

8. EXCELLENT DANCERS: The show has some fabulous set of dancers like Faisal, Shamita, Radhika, Scarlett and Subhreet. (Judges on the basis of their acts)

9. MANISH AND KARAN'S FRENZIEDLY TALK: The duo is simply uncontrollable on-stage. Whatever is the case, the funny gossips and teasing sessions is amusing.

10. NEW WORDS: Finally, it's a goodbye to words that we have heard over a period of three earlier seasons of Jhalak. To name a few, it includes Perfect, Mardala, Blockbuster Performance, This is it etc.

11. NO SENIORITY ELEMENT: The serious persisted while Madhuri Dixit donned the role of a judge. However, currently, the show resembles a societal hangout. Karan Johar is yet not in that seniority phase. His gigs with Manish and Shahid act as a stress buster. And we are relieved from watching Madhuri dancing on same songs every season.

12. DANCE ABUNDANCE: Shahid, Lauren and Ganesh's are completely full of dance.

13. LEARNERS LEAGUE: The celebrities who will be seen learning and brushing up their dancing talent are Mohit Malik, Kavita Kaushik, Vivian DSena, Sanaya Irani and Ashish Choudhary.

14. INSPIRER: Subhreet Kaur is the source of inspiration for people who are in love with dance. Her performance not only made the judges emotional but also inspired people to follow their passion.

15. HOLD YOUR RAFTAAR: After swaying people through his proficiency in music, the rapper is on his way impressing the audience with his moves, and also enthralling us with his songs.

16. THE SPOTLIGHT: This is a new addition in the Jhalak format where a common man will be given an opportunity to prove his mettle in dance. Not bad!

In case the rumours are true, will Karan Johar hand over the baton to Shahid, Lauren and Ganesh? Or will the channel bring a replacement?
