Wondering why? Obviously, the coronavirus pandemic. June may be all the more scarce but for now, here are the shows & films you can look forward to in the month of May on leading platforms.

The breakout hit for Alt Balaji and to many a surprise, the Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi is now set and rolling where it is finally back with a Season 2. The sweet and simple love story is probably the best thing to watch in terms of the genre of it. Just like comfort food, this might be a great comfort show for everyone.

The elite yet weird group of students is back in a new avatar and with several new challenges to witness. Led by Sumeet Vyas and Kubbra Sait, Season 2 promises to break more norms about youngsters.
Kaali Season 2

Predominantly a Bengali series but also popular for Hindi audience owing to being dubbed in the language, the first season was yet another surprise hit and as the trailer has already suggested what to expect, we wonder what the Paoli Dam led show actually has in store.

Another show with a good cast that includes Kubra Sait, Akshay Oberoi, and Neha Sharma among others, the show as the name suggests will be a legal drama that whether all lawyers are merely mercenaries who give in to greed, ambition, and power.

Do we even need to say something about this? The entire Star Wars saga will be available for people to watch on when else but Star Wars day. Apart from a new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the final chapter Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (film) and Disney gallery of The Mandalorian will be available. It is not original programming we know but too good to miss out.

This Amazon original film has already managed to garner immense critical acclaim in the limited reviews so far. Initially planned for an earlier release, the film will now have a May-end arrival and when it comes to the plot, this should interest you-two kids search for the source of a mysterious frequency that has descended on their town in the 1950s
Homecoming Season 2
When: 22nd May
Remember when Julia Roberts arrived on TV yet again and it turned out to be a pretty fantastic show? Yes. The initially led by Roberts series Homecoming is now back with a new season following the format of shifting focus to a newer cast every season. The new season stars Janelle Monae in the lead with Stephan James and Hong Chau returning from the first season.
Paatal Lok

Probably the most-awaited and biggest show of the month, this Amazon original has Anushka Sharma making her digital debut and the best part about the show, promos, looks is that it rarely gives anything away. Apart from Sharma, the show also has a terrific supporting cast that includes the likes of Jaideep Ahlawat, Neeraj Kabi and Abhishek Banerjee among others.

The much-awaited documentary that begins the collaboration of The Obamas with Netflix has already been talked about amongst many and the glimpses that are presented are indeed interesting. Michelle Obama just conversing with a few girls and giving away life lessons is indeed a treat.

The legendary comedian actor has now arrived with his own special and just like always, the trailer suggests he is out-of-the-box, weird, mad and indeed crazy. After his amazing Netflix collaboration Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, Seinfeld is here again.
Schitt's Creek Season 6

The farewell season of the crazy adventures of the Rose family has already managed to create quite an impact having aired globally but for the Indian viewers, the show will now be available on Netflix and the fans, we are sure cannot wait to see it soon.
White Lines Season 1

The Spanish-British mystery thriller series with an illustrious cast to look forward to but if there's one thing that might interest you the most is the fact that the show is created by global hit Money Heist creator, Alex Pina. Boom! There you go!
