MAYAS IMPROVEMENT IN ACTING HAS BEEN UNBELIEVABLY GOOD

I hv seen her past shows and recently seeing her in mera naam yousuf hain and mann mayal I m BOWLED OVER

even though people raves about osmaya chemistry in ded which is true but actingwise Maya was just ok as farah...nothing extraordinary

On the contrary she was TREMENDOUS as zulekha in yousuf

I wish yousuf aired on hum

Then it did hv defo got many nominations

Last him tv drama where in REALLY LIKED HER and which was a surprise hit was SHANAKHT ...I luved that serial ..beautiful screenplay n dialogues with a social message ...give it a shot guys

Then there was another show on hum last yr with Maya n ahsan..it's called ZID. ...it was good too

And in the latest MANN MAYAL THE WAY SHE SHOW MANNUS LUV FOR SALAHUDDIN IS LITERALLY UNBELIEVABLE

she gives even hamza abbasi a run for the money with her expressions as mannu

God I m sooo a fan of her now

Watch her in Shanakht. Under rated drama. One of her best performances ever.

There was a time, when I found Maya extremely atrocious..I thought except for a pretty face, she had nothing going for her..

but yes, she has been the best thing about Mann Mayal, atleast in the initial 5 odd epis..however she needs to work harder on emotional scenes, as far as dialogue delivery - the lisp is natural, she cant do anything about it..

Lisp is fine. In fact I like d lisp. Used to love Pooja Bhatt's lisp too. But I don't know Y she tends to make her voice kiddish at times, which just seem so out of place and no kids even speak is such a manner forget about adults.

I too liked her in Mann Mayal for the 4 odd epis I watched. I guess with her and Imran Abbas it's that way with me. I really like them is some dramas and then in some dramas they seem average.😳

I guess it depends all on writting, IF you watch aunn zara or DeD you will tempt to ignore her flaws, but if you watch mann mayal her dialogue delivery will seem sooo fake, so it might just be the storyline.

yeah, the thing is that lisp comes in handy, when she has to play the role of bubbly girl maybe😆

and yep, coming to think of it, she needs to actually better her voice modulation..

Imran - I dont find him extraordinary in any show, I dont even think he put up a pathbreaking performance in Malaal😕, it was a great show, and his character was written in an amazing manner, but not much value addition from Immie.. I just feel he gets aided by great writing from time to time - otherwise extremely limited as an actor..plus his looks dont help - I mean his features are so feminine u know, more beautiful than handsome😕 just cant connect😆

and interestingly the only time I felt like this is going to be his standout act was when Mera Naam Yousuf Hai teaser, OSTs came out..I loved the angst he got out, when he was singing in the OST..but unfortunately the show fell flat for me😕 i know thats a rare review, but I did not like MNYH at all..

his plus is that he can create great chemistry with his ladies..

Imran is just about adequate and is a limited actor, but as I said for Maya, same I say for Imran, he can pull off some roles well and again, like Maya he needs a well backed director/ script. And IMO MNYH was more a Maya show and I really liked her in dat and after Maya I think the ensemble cast, especially Hina Bayat, Mansha Pasha, Waseem Abbas were more interesting and did full justice to their roles.

My fav of Imran was Malaal, and I really liked the characterisation of Javad. I also liked him as Haider in Kaisi Yeh Qayamat and he brought out the angst of Moiz well in Mera Naseeb.😳
