My views are different and would focus on KK's character as he and Siddhant would be in charge for some time. The love story would unfold gradually and it was really nice to watch the feelings coming out, slow and steady!
KK had decided not to go ahead with the airline deal. He respects Prabhakar and seemed genuinely hurt when Kartik and Neena asked him to choose between family and Prabhakar. In fact, he had announced earlier that the Trust would be entrusted to Prabhakar, in case Srikant was convicted. So, his reverence towards his friend is non-negotiable! Now, with the airline deal being pushed thru and Prabhakar's demise, the resignation letter is still not reached the right hands...
KK wants Kartik to make mistakes and learn from it. So, it could be about showing the right path to Kartik. Why it's important to listen to others and then take a decision and not impose decisions because one is a corporate heir. On the other hand, he knows that Siddhant is not Prabhakar. He is ambitious and is capable of taking huge risks. Maybe he wants to guide Siddhant too, the way his friend would have. That's why he wants Siddhant to rise up the ranks. The clash between Kartik and Siddhant would prove who is right and wrong! Both wil learn their own lessons...in time.
