And Palak, like I said bro I am not here for Kauravas vs Pandavas, Arjun vs karna and I wanted to know what was the Dharma the ITV serials so highly represented cause I was not able to see that and this discussion did help me a lot. And one more thing I too think that Bhishma was one of the main reason behind this war and chaos.

Somewhere I read that she was trying to be smart while asking the boon. She thought to ask for all which she wanted, making it into one statement but Mahadev understood her intentions and outsmarted her.

If the above was not true then I don't think she was at fault. The one who gave the boon did wrong to her. She just asked a boon after making Mahadev impressed with her tapasya, she never stated that she wanted 5 husbands.

But as we all know everything happens with a purpose so maybe uske peeche bhi bahut bada uddeshya hua hoga, that's why it happened.
