He also took panga with Anil kapoor

he got plenty. Look at Dharmendra and his sons and nephew Abhay. None match to Dharmendra. Sunny maybe and he fell into the Sylvester Stallone category.  but Dharmendra's screen presence none can command.

The same for the sons of Salim Khan-only Salman has screen presence. None of the daughters of Sridevi, hema Malini/Dharamji or Dimple kapadia inherited their mom's charisma and screen presence. Dimple was what 16 in Bobby??

Sonam Kapoor actually looks decent and has some screen presence, but is so dumb-it is hard to take her seriously.

I feel the biggest reason Abhay's disliked is that he disses his own work. Now some movies don't age as well, but you need to own your work and the collaborations. He tends to throw people he's worked with under the bus.

Abhay is a frustrated actor

Not to say hes bad actor compared to todays brood hes way better

But he was more into art and experimental movies

Such people cannot attain super star or star status

Coming to his cousins, Sunny was most successful because he hardly had any competition in 80s when he debuted - only anil kapoor and jackie shroff were his competitors and of course sanjay dutt. And he did socially relevant movies. He took over from Amitabh bachchan as angry young man slot

Regarding bobby deol his debut got delayed by 6 years. By the time he came SRK, amir, akshay, ajay and amir etc had established themselves. So there was not much chance for him or roles. Further Sunnys fight with Yash raj ensured dharma and yash raj ignored him. So he could not get sucessfurther bad choice of movies after 5-6 years of career ended his career

But abhay debuted when hrithik was a peak and all three khans were hits so he too flopped

Nepotism aside. Whatever Abhay says in this has a lot of resonance!

Used to think thats the case.. But isnt it possible that he conveyed his apprehensions regarding the movies then n there.. And thats what cost him..

Coz we have hear many times that on paper Or during narration a story or role sounds different And then it turns out completely different when filmed.

That may Or may not be the case.. But dont want to rule out any possibilities

Do u rule out a possibility that this cost the deols.. Coz till then they were doing fine.. Their careers nosedived after the incident

People's voices & talent have been suppressed for too long. Innocent people are being called out & some people are taking advantage of it. It has to happen, it's the result of a few people in power suppressing voices, suppressing talent."

This is spot on, since 1980s only outsiders are rarely getting chances govinda and jackie shroff and akshay were an exception

Even govindas mother was a singer and knew bollywood folks

anil kapoor was an insider his father was secretary and cousin of raj kapoor although they lived in chawl

So hardly any outsiders got chance since 80s

Compared to that before dharmendra, jeetendra, rajendra kumar, dilip kumar many outsiders were there

Since 1995 whoever is close to yash raj and kjo succeeded in industry mostly and were considered super stars (as they cater to nris market)

Like SRK, Saif, Hrithik etc

Kajol, rani mukherjee, priety too

The others were on fringes never considered super stars despite hits

Like ajay, sunny deol, govinda, akshay etc or bobby deol and akshaye khanna later

Both akshaye khanna and bobby deol were never close to yash raj and kjo and because of that they hardly got any movies with them and worked witrh independent directors mostly

Thats why today all actors suck up to dharma and yash raj so blatantly

In 1990s there were independent producers and directors where are they now hardly any like sajid nadiadwala, david dhawan, raj kumar santosh, raj kunwar etc
