Chaya didn't come out of the blue. It was Sangya's decision to leave her reflection to look after her family and that too in secrecy. So, when Surya Dev asks Chaya in his room she had no choice. If she had said the truth then too Sangya wouldn't have spared her. And, when Sangya returned she could have at least asked her why she betrayed her. She should have heard her side of the story before getting into any conclusion.

Instead , she became vengeful ...She hurt Shani , plotted against him and humiliated him...The writers completely destroyed Sangya's character...when u write a story , u should keep in mind that a person has both good and bad sides...As u want to glorify a positive character , u can't degrade another character without any justification...When a person chooses a wrong path , then u must develop that character in such a way that even her choice makes sense...Every vamp must have reasons for their actions , otherwise the character becomes a lunatic who has no sense of judgement and no valid reason for his actions...Sangya's character was justified till she kicked Chhaya out of Suryalok...Her plotting against Shani could have been justified too , if the writer would have shown that at some point Sangya was repenting her acts and later accepting Shani as her son...It would have been beautiful to see Surya with his two wives , and Shani getting the love of two mothers...Rahu , ketu , Indradev , Ravan , Chandradev were enough for negative roles...The tiff between Surya and Shani was okay too...

And when Yam and Manu learned about the truth they were bitter with Shani but Shani was bitter with his step brothers too. But things were not like they showed in the show. Sangya regreted her decision and later accepted Shani as her son, when Shani died in a war with Yam and she begged to Mahadev to revive him.

Later Shani became karmafaldaata and they became a happy family.
