After Kajra re, Amitabh Bachchan will dance to Shaad Ali's tunes again

One of Bunty Aur Babli's USP was its popular song 'Kajra re…' Even months after its release, it is one of the most frequently played numbers at any party. Now as Shaad Ali gears up to start shooting for his new musical comedy, Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom, he hopes to recreate the same magic he did with 'Kajra re…' Shaad and Yashraj have quietly roped in Amitabh Bachchan to do a special song-and-dance sequence for the film.
The title song written by Gulzar and composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is ready. A nifty addictive semi-qawwalli the number 'Jhoom baraabar jhoom…' is designed to be as big as 'Kajra re…'
"No one designs a chart-buster." lyricist Gulzar insists. "But yes, Shaad, Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy and I have certainly worked very hard to give the title number a special flavour."
He further adds: "The rapport between Shaad and Shankar reminds me of Raj Kapoor and Shankar-Jaikishen. Shaad knows about poetry and music. We had great fun composing 'Kajra re…' and even 'Jhoom baraabar jhoom…'"
Speaking from London, Amitabh Bachchan is looking forward to working with Shaad again after Bunty Aur Babli. "I play the sutradhar who links the storyline, and carries the plot forward," he says. "It's just a song that will require four days of work from me."
Jhoom Barabar Jhoom stars Bobby Deol, Abhishek Bachchan , Preity Zinta and Lara Dutta.
