Vocal Texture - The Factor That Makes Vishnu Stand Out!

For me, Vishnumaya has the best voice compared to others on the show! I appreciate her range, flawlessness, and the versatility in her performances whether it be a Hawa Hawaii, Sathyam Shivam, Kuhu Kuhu, Sun Raha Hai Na Tu, Sona Kitna Sona Hai, or a Mohe Rang Do Lal! What makes her stand out is her brilliant and unique vocal texture - the same factor that made the likes of Sonu, KK, Alka, Shreya, and Arijit huge stars! The difference between her and the others can be seen in the intro when Rani came to Rising Star and all the top 12 contestants sang! Her voice was the most striking and crisp! Hemant and Vishnu both sang Ladki Kyun but to me Hemant (who is great in his own way) frankly paled in front of her; he sounded quite average compared to Shaan's singing in this filmy song. Vishnu's singing on the other hand stayed with me and I actually preferred it to even the original song!

Vishnu is so underrated!! I sooo want her to win now...its not time for experiment but I would love to see her try Oye Oye from Azhar or chikni chameli or deewani mastani

And I agree with you - I also liked it better than the original somehow and that's a huge thing!

I agree 100%. Her voice is a gift from the heavens! And she hardly ever misses a note. Tonal quality is near perfect. Which is why it makes me mad when she doesn't get enough praise from the judges! 😡😡

completely agree. being a follower of singing reality shows, i can surely say that vishnumaya got one of the best soothing voice. you can listen her song for hours and hours even they are in higher notes. thats the power of her voice

Yeah, Jugni, I did watch the "Pudhivellai mazhai" video with Vishnu and Unni Menon. The sound quality in the video is very poor and even then Vishnu sounds pitch perfect! 👏

I totally agree. Her voice fits every genre SO beautifully. I just wish she had experimented a little more in the show ...
Anytime she sang something different like for the promos e.g the Selfie lele promo or the Rani mukherjee, I was always so surprised how good she sounded in these modern songs. She could have tried more of those I feel. She can slay any genre with her beautiful voice. 👏
