PART 10

Firoz woke up the next day in his pure wood bed, all covered in white soft blankets, with his tea on the table next to his bed. The room was huge, golden fabrics wherever possible and painted entirely in yellow ochre. Truly the family was obsessed with jewels, for even the smallest of wooden tables had gems embedded in them. Firoz's eyes were red from the hangover. He knew he was in a deep soup, because he remembered the hard thrash he received from his father the previous night. Just then, Shah entered with the breakfast tray herself, which was at other times carried by any servant. Firoz was startled to see his mother there and he began,"Ammi? What are you doing here so early in the morning?" Shah put down the tray on another table and raised her hand to hit him, which moved Firoz back. She said in a deadly tone looking into his eyes ferociously,"Morning?! It's 11 am now. Razia and Nasir are already in the office. And you sleep here, useless! I swear Firoz, you can never make a fortune for yourself." Firoz got down from his bed, stepped into his Lacoste shoes and sped towards his mother. "I am not useless Ammi," he yelled," I can show them how capable I am. Can anyone of them shoot like I can? I am a gold medalist in rifle shooting Ammi, don't forget that." Shah made him sit and she sat next to him and began," Rifle shooting does not make you the successor to "Khan's" my son. You need business brains for this." Firoz calmed down and realised that unfortunately or fortunately, he did not have a business brain anyways. But he had something which could make him do anything he wanted - Greed. Greed makes people do things even their soul could not think of doing. Suddenly, Shah started laughing. When Firoz enquired why she was doing so, she said," Firoz, I have already thought of a way to take revenge of the slap which Mr. Altamash Khan gave you yesterday. The root of the entire problem is Razia. Had she not complained, nothing would have happened. I have something with which I can destroy her life for the next few years. " Both of them smiled, hatching plans to make trouble.

That afternoon, Shah disguised herself in a Burqa and sped off with her chauffeur to the Newsroom of the news channel 'Aaj Ka Samachar'. She stopped at the gate and walked out quickly, as if she had something very important to tell the people there. She was walking amidst the dead silence of the corridors, but she could hear some footsteps behind her. She stopped and turned around to see who it was, but no one was in sight. She kept walking, but the sound behind her continued.

Shah walked upto one of the journalists on his desk and told him,"Sir, I have some sparkling news about Razia Khan. Are you interested?" The reporter looked into her eyes with disbelief and he said,"Razia Khan of "Khans"? What news do you have about her?" She took out the CD from her purse and asked the reporter to play it. After a few minutes when the video tape was over, the reporter jerked up and smiled wickedly. He said," This news will be released today itself. Thank you so much ma'am. Do you want to disclose yourself as the source?" Shah replied," Just tell it to be a gift for Razia Khan from her old foe." She walked out and jumped back into her car, this time she didn't hear the shoe clicks..

PART 11

Shah returned back the Khan mansion with a huge smile on her face and took off the burqa. She went into Firoz's room only to find him fixing his rifles again. She placed her hand on his head, making Firoz aware that she was here and said," Firoz, the work is done," Firoz didn't look up from what he was doing , he just continued.

Razia kept cursing Firoz in her mind at the office. If only he had not done so much drama there, she would have told Mirza her feelings for him and maybe given a few love hugs. Every thought of Mirza took over her mind wherever she went and she started associating everything with Mirza's name. Suddenly she was interrupted by a phone call from somebody. The call went like this:

x (unknown): Did you do it?

R (Razia): Yes.

X: How much did he take?

R: 50 K.

X: 50 K! Thats Ridiculous. Anyways, are you alright now honey?

R: Ofcourse Sweety. Everything will be over by tomorrow morning.

X: Ok. Bye.

R; Bye.

The voice was of a man's.

The next morning at sharp 8 am Shah turned the news channel 'Aaj Ki Khabar' on. She was already angry because the news couldn't be released the previous day itself. Even Altamash Khan just returned from his jog and sat next to her, shocked to see her watching the news. Never on Earth did she watch Hindi news channels, but she had to today, for she had given Razia's secret tape to them only as they gained the highest TRPs. The reporter began," Aaj ki Khabar ke iss live show mein aapka swaagat hain. Aaj ki breaking news aur taaza khabar.." Shah waited anxiously on the edge of the couch sitting a bit away from her husband. The reporter continued," Delhi ke mashoor club Bringerz mein hua ek bada hatsaa. Khan Jewellers ke parivar ke chhotte vaaris , Firoz Khan, ne kayak Bar mein tehelka. Vahan ke upastith logo ka manna hain ki voh behad zyada pee rahe the aur achanak jab kisi ladki ne unke saath dance karne ke liye mana kiya, unhone apni glass se uss ladki ko maraa aur Bar mein tod-for ki. Voh behosh pade the aur phir nuke ghar ke kuch sadasya unhe le gaye. Iss se hame pata chalta hain ki ye bigdi auladein kaisi hoti hain. Agla Samachar.." Shah couldn't believe her ears. HOW DID THIS NEWS COME ON AIR INSTEAD OF THE ONE WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO COME?! HOW DID SOMEONE CHANGE RAZIA'S NEWS?! She sat trembling, because 1. Her news had been changed. 2. Firoz's bad image was once again all over the media. Altamash fired up and immediately ordered one of his servants to call Firoz to the living room. Firoz came, unaware of what had happened and before anything began, Altamash just walked over to him and snatched his gold 'Khan' chain from his neck and said," You are no longer a Khan anymore." Firoz was startled. He could bare anything, anything but being undermined of his dignity. He asked Altamash," Why Abbu? What have I done?" Altamash turned the TV on and showed the running news, and raised the volume sky high, hearing which even Razia and Nasir came down for breakfast in their office attires. They both saw the news and looked at each other. They knew this was going to happen. Altamash scolded Firoz once again and told him that his chain would not be returned unless his did something very good to please his father. Firoz went back into his room, eyes red with anger, leaving behind an angry and shocked Shah Khan.

After all the mess was cleared up, Shah sat in the couch sobbing over what had happened. Just then, someone called her from behind," Too Bad Shah. Plan flop."

She turned to see who it was. Razia . Razia Khan. Shah wiped her tears and stood up. She walked over to Razia and said," Oh! So you did it. I must say, you too have the Khan family's deceit tradition in you. Tell me, were you following me? How did you get Firoz's tape? DO you know why I went to the reporters?" Razia laughed, much to Shah's irritation. Razia began," Wait Shah, I'll answer one by one. Yes, I am a Khan member and so planning runs in me. When I was going to a meeting yesterday to another office , I saw you going towards the newsroom of that channel. I followed you all the way to the top. You even heard my footsteps, but you didn't care. Even if you were in a burqa, you were using one of our cars, and unfortunately or fortunately I know all the plate numbers of all the cars. After you came down, I talked to the reporter, paid him 50 K and exchanged that news about me for this. Nice na? I got Firoz's tape from one of my manager friends at Bringerz who had recorded all that Firoz had done. But even you didn't play bad Shah. You gave Mirza and my date tape to the reporter! Too Bad, I scraped it off. I should have known you were following me there too." Shah said down in shock and just asked Razia one last question," Very well but who helped you in all this?" Razia smiled and said," Why, Mirza! "

(Mirza is the person Razia was talking to on the phone. He knows all about this.)

PART 12

Razia came to her office that day all happy. Finally she had busted Shah Khan in doing something. All her life she only wished if she would have been older enough to to stop her father from marrying that witch.

Razia sat in her cabin and made a call to Mirza to thank him for his help. The conversation went like this:

R: Hi Mirza

M: Hey love! How did the plan go?

R:Awesome! you should have seen Firoz and Shah's face. Literally white.

M:Just as I expected.

R: Thank you Mirza for helping me out with getting Firoz's CD and scraping ours.

M: Who said I scraped ours?

R: What do you mean?

M: I have it with me. I watch it whenever I feel sad. It brightens my mood. You and me dancing..

R: *Blushes* Quiet Mirza! People might be listening to you.

M: So what, I don't give a damn!

R: You are mad.

M: I know.

Just then somebody walked into Mirza's room .

M: Excuse me Ill call you later.

R: Ok Bye

M:Bye.

Even the smallest of conversations made Razia's face brighten up. Every moment she had with him, near or far made her happy. After some time, she got a call from her secretary. The secretary began,"Ma'am, you have to go to the Malik 'Itra' HQs in Model Town to meet Mr. Mirza Malik "- The name sparked through her-"because they have encountered some problem with the contracts." She agreed to go. She boarded the car and pondered whether something had actually happened or if Mirza was just calling her to meet. On reaching Mirza's Personal Cabin, she saw him in a black tight suit and a red tie. She wondered if he had always been so hot. But at the same time she saw his other side. Mirza was shouting at one of the young employees. Razia really felt the pain for the guy. He yelled," You fool! Cant even handle a document properly. I told you to keep the file on my desk. Where did you misplace it now? What will I say to the Khan group now?" Razia realised he hadn't even noticed she had arrived. She cleared her throat which made Mirza look at her. Mirza looked at the pink shirt she was wearing and my, how fire cute she looked, he thought. She had come in a simple hairstyle , but even that seemed magical to him. He asked Razia to sit and said to her getting into character," Ms. Razia, I am extremely sorry. The file of the contract which our companies signed, its.. lost. " Razia would have kicked the table had she not been sitting in Mirza's office. "This guy here is very irresponsible. But Razia I have arranged for another paper and I request you to please sign on this. " Razia signed it and requested everyone to move out of the room. She placed her hand on Mirza's and said,"Mirza, you should be a little less aggressive towards the employees. " Mirza said," I am. But this guy just blew my head. Because of his nonsense you had to take trouble to come and all that." Razia said," It was not a problem. Atleast I got to meet you."

M: I am so inspired by you Razia. How do you find good in everyone?

R: I am like this by nature.

M: Ans thats why I love you.

Mirza came up from his chair and sat on the chair next to Razia. He inched closer and his fragrance made Razia close her eyes. His lips slowly took over hers and they were engrossed in true love. Razia gripped his hair and pulled him closer, making the kiss even fiercer. After some time, they waved away and went back to life.

Part 13
Razia drove out of his office, leaving a wanting-more Mirza behind. Mirza could never have enough of her. He wanted her every moment with him. He worked hard all day, harder than before, just to get her. And she had evolved more as a person. More than she ever knew. Both now just wanted to settle down together.
Shah still couldn't get over what had happened with her. And her son. She had planned everything so well, but as they say, nothing is perfect in something done not for perfection. She underestimated Razia, or rather was overconfident of herself. But this time, she wiped her tears, and made a phone call to the man she had met at The Spice the other day. The conversation went like this:
S: Hello. I guess its time.
U(unknown): So early? I thought you had made a better plan.
S: Don't taunt me now. Listen carefully and do what I say.
U: All ears.
( She tells him something over the phone)
S: Got it?
U: Yes. When?
S: Today.
U: Ill call you when its done.
The phone cut.
Razia went into her cabin, finished whatever files she had, and whilst walking out met her secretary Junaid and told him to inform her of her meetings the next day. Junaid, as smart as he was, had already prepared the schedule and handed it over to her. Razia thanked him and walked out. Junaid went into Razia's cabin again to check if she had left anything. The desk was clean as usual. He went into the washroom. Tall, fair with a clean shave and styled hair, he was getting many proposals these days. But he kept true to his service. Work came first, then the others. He washed his face and looked into the mirror, this time to see someone standing behind him. The man was double his size, and covered his face, leaving only the eyes open which glared red. Junaid turned round . The man covered his mouth and soon Junaids Blue shirt was stained with red blood from his own stomach.
The police arrived with Razia, who still couldn't digest the news. His body still lay in the washroom, with a dagger in his stomach. Razia started sobbing, and soon Nasir and Mirza too arrived. Mirza held Razia in his arms to comfort her from the deadly scene. The police said," It is a first degree Murder. Maam, please come with us for questioning." Razia walked away, leaving Mirza behind. She didn't know her life would take a deadly turn, or actually her life itself would change.
