Once Upon In A Moonlit Night
Part 4
"Shehzadi!!" Altunia's voice was a bit amazed seeing her in that state. It became a bit clear to him that not only him but even princess was affected by him as well. Razia almost forced to stop herself and bit her lips to shut those words which were about to come out pushing her lips. She was not like other girls who just spoke to heart in emotional moment. She knew to keep check on her. She knew from the very day of that dargah that she had something for that sarphira. She didn't know what that was but there was some weak point developed inside her. While she saw her fighting with ruknuddin she couldn't stop herself cheering for him out loud forgetting her every royal gesture and morals. She even forgot that a princess like her shouldn't behave like that, screaming out loud in front of the whole crowd for some unknown stranger. But she didn't care at all about those social meaningless rules and her grandmather's angry glare at the moment. His swords every measured stroke which was thrashing ruknuddin to dust felt like her own victory. She felt like he could conquer the whole world just for her! And then his eyes darted towards her in the mid of fight. Even from the distance she could feel the intensity of those gazes. That intensity steeled her for some long moment.
While everyone was waiting for that unknown warrior in dewan e aam, she was also eager to meet him. But she didn't show off to anyone. She didn't admit but she felt low when he didn't approach there. She was feeling heavy inside but why she didn't understand. He was just a stranger warrior, a sarphira who just own the battle and left without taking his prize. Why should she bother of him?! There was a small turmoil in her heart about to create but overshadowed by the worry when she heard kaji's decision to give the throne of subedari to ruknuddin. After that she merely thought about him all those times because she was all worry about her brother and family. But after so long he was there and she was again having those strange emotions within her. She was feeling confused, frustrated a bit. She felt like there were so many things to say but couldn't utter a single word.
Even altunia didn't spoke anything. He didn't expect that kind of reaction from her. After those silent moments finally razia talked in some unconscious way. "Kahin see suna tha ki tez tufani hawa choo kee nikal jate hain... kabhi wapas nahin atein.. par uss kuch pal kee sath mein zindagi badal jati hain." she closed her eyes a bit to compose herself. After he came in her life she didn't have a single day of peace. That sarphira didn't even know that his silent denial to delhi's subedari had created so many rifts alongside. She finally looked back to him and asked with her firm voice, "Ab yahan kya kar rahe hain?! Kyun wapas ayein humare zindagi mein?"
He was silent all the time. When razia asked him the question his eyes expression went a bit deeper. She waited for his answer looking straightly into his emerald pools which seemed amused. It was a divine pleasure for mirza to know that not only he was the one who were thinking of her all day and night. Even she also thought of him, might be not like him but he occupied some place in her thought and in her heart as well. He was overwhelmed by that. Looking towards her large expectant eyes Altunia smirked under the cover of his kaftan and moved some more inches closer to her pretty face. A heavy breath escaped from her as she felt the proximity. His intent eyes were burning into her with its silver glow caused by the moonlight. She stood steal at her position didn't able to move back or react anyhow. There was a divine adoration and amusement in his eyes for her, the calmness of a deep lake water and steal there was a fire, a cold but raw fire which has the ability to burn and melt anything in the world. She was paralyzed and hypnotized by those eyes.
"Hum gaye kahan the mahotarma?! Joo wapas ayengey?!" His deep voice probed looking straight in her eyes. she kept staring into them with slight confusion and questioning look.
"Jhooth bol rahe hain aap!!Bhag gaye the jung kee maidan se uss din... Ek baat piche mud ke bhi nahin dekhe ki koi aap kaa..." razia stopped herself before saying anything further. If she continued like that something would come out of her mouth which she never wanted to say out loud.
Altunia didn't say anything to her complains but his smirk just increased which razia sensed from the gleaming reflection of his eyes. She felt a slight annoyed by that. What was so funny about her words?! "Itna sara ilzaam?! Woo bhi ek sath?!" his voice caught the light flirty tone again. razia moved her eyes esitantly from him and continued to look towards ground. "Waisey sikayad too humein bhi bahut sare hain..." he said with a chuckle. "Sikayad...humse?!" She looked back to him with confused frown. His emerald eyes gaze caught the most intensive depth again as he looked straight inside her black pearls, with adoration, with passion, paralyzing her again.
"Sirf aap se nahin shehzadi..." his deep voice hit her ear, "Sikayad hain uss upar wale see jinhone yee doo haseen akhein banayein... sikayad hain uss kismat see jisney humare kadam uss dargah taraf mora..." his each and every word took away her breath each time. "Aur aap see... Jisney humein inn pak nazro se dekha aur hum bechare dewane karte bhi too kya... ussi waqt inpe mar mite..." Razia listened to Mirza's every complaint breathlessly with bewildered eyes. "Par hayrani ki baat yee hain mahotarma ki hum sikayad kar bhi nahin saktey kissi kee... Kyun ki woo pal humare zindagi kaa sab sey khubsoorat... sabsey ruhani pal tha..Jab inn akhon ne iss begane awara ko bandh diya..." Another cold breeze flew upon them. Both of them were steeled and lost in each other. He was pouring his heart out and she was listening like transfixed. "Hum too inn machalte hawa kee tarah hi the shehzadi.. koi bandish nahin.. koi beriyan nahin... jahan raah mili wohi chal base... par aap kee ek nazar nee humein zakar liya... hum too wahan see chale ayein... par humara dil too ussi pal mein kaid hoo gaya aap ki akhon kee jaal mein..." his words totally made her speechless. She didn't know how to reply back to his complains, to his question. Neither she could argue nor she could say anything on her defence. She just kept staring to him dumbly getting lost more and more by the intensity of those eyes.
Altunia forwarded his feet to close the remaining distance between them. In instant reaction razia stepped back keeping her eyes fix on him. "Yee... Yee kya kar rahe hain aap?!..Humare kareeb kyun aa rahe hain?!" she said continuing to step back as mirza kept forwarding to her with his slow but firm steps. She tried to keep her voice firm but still the age shook. "Amma aap mahotarmao ko bhi bari dikkat hain.. Kabhi kahete hain door naa jayein.. too kabhi kahete hain ki kareeb naa aao... hum dewane kare too kare kya?" his tone was full of mischief and flirty. "Dekhiye... Hum aap koo chitawni de rahe hain... humaare pass ane ki koushis mat kijiye.." her attitude full words seemed like useless warnings as it didn't be able to stop his forwarding steps a bit. Razia gulped seeing his determined eyes and keep on her back stepping. And suddenly the accident happened. She didn't noticed that she almost reached at the age of the lake. The water was shallow there with almost a 12 feet height from the water level. When razia kept her foot back she couldn't found the ground beneath her foot anumore. With a loud gasp escaping from her fearful confused mouth, she slipped on the mossy rock and her misbalanced body was thrown out into the air to get drown in the shallow lake water.
Before a scream could escape her lips she felt two strong protective hands around her preventing her from falling. Her hands clutched the most reachable thing near her hand which was the hem of his long kurta. She heard the splash of water as her shoes and veil fail down into the water. She closed her eyes in anticipation and was panting clinging from his neck. She felt her feet hanging on the air and those two strong hands around her waist preventing her from falling. She finally opened her eyes to enquire about her current states. She found her feet hanging some inches above the silvery shinning water of lake. Then her eyes moved towards her savior who was imprisoning her in his strong hold and her own hand was around his neck for support. Again her wide black pearl meet her emerald eyes. Two most beautiful rare jewels of the world gazed deep into each other trying to read their hearts hidden words. She noticed concern, worry in his eyes for her. his face was much closer to her than before. At first her heart was pounding first in anticipation when he was approaching near her but her heartbeat seemed so quiet and normal even after being in that state. As if it was already habituated by his presence. She never had such feelings before. So calm, so serene and protected. Her all worry was gone in some unknown magic. His calm, deep emerald eyes just as deep as the lake water became the source of her peace, her soul's divine joy.
Mirza was watching calmly to her face. He noticed the changing expression of those black pools, from anticipation to confusion then getting calm and quite gradually and lastly the divine glow of joy reflected there with all its beauty, making those black pools more fascinating, amusing. He was already imprisoned and dedicated to them. Her one indication was enough for him to conquer the whole world. He fully enjoyed the bondage for the first time, his defeat to those beautiful divine eyes.
Razia's one hand slowly slide down from his neck and caught the hem of his kaftan which was covering his half face. Looking straight inside his eyes he slowly pulled that cloth down revealing his face to her eyes. He didn't stop her anyhow. And finally when she pulled down the whole cover his handsome face reflected in her eyes with its full glory. Finally they met each other without any secrecy or curtains between them. The silvery moonlight cleared all the darkness from their and in that divine light they observed each other with amusement, with adoration, intensity and love. As the silent moment passed between them the beautiful, innocent and glorious smile reflected in both of their lips reflecting in each other's glowing joyful eyes.
Chanda and Fatima gasped hard when they couldn't find Razia at her bed. They just rushed out of the tent. The night is gone finally and the tender light of dawn was spreading everywhere. The tired soldiers were yawning to get out of the stress of their night duty. As both if the girls moved their eyes at the every corner of the surrounded area they find Razia standing at the further corner near the wooden barricade. She was looking towards the forest shade where the golden first rays of sun peeping out from the holes of dense green tree walls. "shehzadi!!" both chanda and Fatima said in unison and rushed towards her. Razia heard their voice and approaching steps but didn't look back. They both reached towards her and was quite amuzed seeing her in that state. She seemed so calm and poised observing the morning rays and listening to the chirping birds. There was a different kind of divine glow in her face, that mild smile on the age of her lips was so mild and beautiful. Her face was serene but her eyes were glistening in the sunlight. There was a whole different kind of aura around her which they never saw. It seemed like a total different Razia from previous night. For some moment they couldn't utter a single word. Razia finally looked towards those besotted friends of her and smiled. The smile was even brighter than sunshine and divine like godly blessing. They were happy to see her smile finally. The upcoming war of Nasir and Sultan snatched out all the chirpiness and innocence from her and they really missed her smile. But finally it was back with more glory. "Shehzadi... Aap yahan kya kar rahe hain?!" Fatima spoke finally. "Andar bahut ghutan si mehsoos hoo rahi thi..." she sighed and looked back to the forest wall, "Issi liye tazi hawa khane chale gaye the..." she said poignantly. "Hey bhagwan.. Too humse kahe diya hota shehzadi... Hum dono pankha le kar aap koo poori raat hawa dete." Chanda prompted. "Meri pyari chanda..." razia said with affection striking her chin with her fingertip, "Yee ghutan insaan ke zehan ki hain.. Sirf pankha dene see thik nahin hota... iss ghutan koo door karbe kee liye uss tufani hawa ki zarurat hain joo achanak se ati hain.. aur sare kee sare dhool, mitti ura le jata hain.. zameen koo saaf aur be daag kar jata hain apni barish se... sayad issi liye, tufan kee baad suraj ki roshni itni khubsurat itni paak lagti hain.. kyun ki uss mein see kale badal kaa saya hath jata hain.." Razia said unconsciously looking towards the golden sunrays touching the ground and glistening over the moist drop of grasses. That glow was intact to her eyes and smile. "Aap bhi kaise kaise batein kar jate hain shehzadi... Aap ki paheliya samajh nahin atti humein.." Chanda said in cute confusion. Razia's smile increased more, "Kabhi tum bhi samajh jaogi chanda inn paheliyon kaa matlab.. abhi tumlog jake rana martand see kaho raiyari karne kee liye.. humein jald see jald bhaijaan aur ammi se milna parega.." she said. Both of them nodded and moved out form the place. After going some few steps suddenly Fatima remembered something and moved back while chanda moved forward leaving her behind. Fatima observed Razia who was still standing at the age of barricade looking towards the forest lines with her poised smile and calm eyes. Fatima noticed the red cloth piece she was holding in her hand and her eyes grew in slight amusement. "Arey shehzadi.." her words became a bit loud in excitement. Razia twitched her neck towards Fatima in slight confusion. "Yee laal rumal kahan se mila aap koo?! Yee too wohi rumal hain naa joo darga mein chori hoo gaya tha?!" Fatima asked in confusion. Razia smiled again and gazed towards the cloth piece as if it was her most precious treasure. "Yun samajh loo Fatima ki hawa kaa rookh badal gaya aur ussi hawa nee mujhe apni khoyi huyi amanat wapas kar diya..." she said. "Khuda jane shehzadi aap koo kya hoo gaya hain.Tab se pahelion mein batein kar rahe hain aap too..." Fatima said in confusion, razia just smiled wider in answer which even caused Fatima to smile, "Par joo bhi hoo... aap ki muskuarahat wapas aa gayi.. yahin humare liye sab sey bari baat hain.. Hum allah se duya karengey ki aap ki yee hasi kabhi naa kho jayein... Udassi bilkul achi nahin lagti aap kee chehre pe." Fatima said. Razia blinked her eyes smilingly as if assuring her. Fatima left Razia to her little peaceful solitude and followed chanda's footsteps.
After some few more hours the whole royal group started their journey to Multan. Razia peeped out from her cart and observed towards the forest line with expectant eyes. Her gazes were moving everywhere searching for something. She was thinking if she would be able to see him just once. Her eyes feel inside the dence forest and she found his tall fig standing with his horse under a tree shade capturing his horse's jinn in his hand. His eyes were fixed towards the cart. As soon as their eyes met Altunia smirked and lifted his hand to give her sallam. Razia smiled remembering about those precious moments at last night. Saving her from the fall he accompanied her all the way to the royal barricade keeping her safe from any danger. He asked for a heartily good bye as they approached near royal tents. Razia asked him if they ever be able to meet him again. In the answer he said in his own signature style, "Hawa kaa rokh bhi kabhi kabhi moor jata hain mahotarma.. Insaan bicharte hi hain milne kee liye... Agar kismat nee humari kadam aap ki aur nahin mora too hum khud apni kadam aap kee rahon mein mor dengey..." . Her answer made her smile wider. She asked for the last time that why couldn't he accompany her. In the answer he just said in his poetically formed words that, "Biraha kee wagar milne kaa maza hi kahan hain mahotarma... kahete hain duniya ishq karne walon kee bahut imtehaan lete hain.. zara hum bhi too apne ishq kaa imtehan leke dekhe ki woo kitna pakka hain... haan par jabtak hum naa ayein tabtak aap issey humari amanat samajhke rakh sakte hain..." saying that he handed over her that red cloth piece. "Yee too wohi dupatta hain..." she answered joyfully. "naah shezadi.." he chuckled, "Yee abb mirza ki amanat hain... uss ki mahotarma kee liye.." his simple answer conveyed so many things. Razia didn't asked any other things or tried to stop him. After all who could stop the flowing wind and his life resides in that. But she knew very well that he would come back to her. She saw that faith and determination in his eyes. As his fig approached towards the dark forest line razia bid him adieu with a small but wonderful smile in her face. Her all fear, all worry seemed gone and if she was about to enter in a new chapter of life.
The royal cart moved further and her eyes continued to see him till it didn't disappeared at behind the shades of tree. Mirza sighed and smiled. Dragging the jinn of his horse he moved inside the dense forest. Two souls, bounded by fate moved to their different path to meet each other again.
And the life continues.
