Nope. Vandevi is rs addition. 😳
Not just that, in Valmiki, Sita's whereabouts were not a secret. When Shatrughan visited the ashram on his way to Madhupura, he did meet Sita and participate in the namkaran of the kids: it was not a surprise. All that stuff about nobody knowing where Sita lived was something serial and movie makers added to insert intrigue, where none existed.

There actually were in the original run, don't know if they'll be kept or cut in this retelecast but Sita does share a couple of laughs with them which are really sweet :)
PSA for anyone who wants to watch the most unedited version available... it's this uploader on youtube:
One thing I noticed: in the first Ramayana, the people of Ayodhya weren't always barefoot: the royals particularly did wear various types of shoes or sandals. But when they went to Uttar Ramayana, it seemed like Ayodhya was one big temple, where everyone was barefoot - except the rishis Vashistha and Valmiki.
Anyone else found this strange?
(Yeah, Lola, another thing you can laugh at me for noticing 😆)
Duuude you’re killing me... no comment 🤣
Sita Mata teaching all Sanatan Sanskaar to her two kids... Either we are reading or watching #Ramayan we have many such things to learn and teach our upcoming generations... Our Holy Book never teach to hate any religion or belief... Beauty of Hinduism

Ours is the only religion which asks all to become humans, not the followers of any religion
