Hi guys.😊 I'm relatively very new to this forum, so I don't really know much.. A lot of you have been around for a long time & have discussed the show and participated in petitions campaigns, when the show was being closed. I'm sure. I was just wanting to know, if are you all still as passionate about wanting a new season for PKYEK or have you lost hope ? Even if you've lost hope, I won't be surprised & nobody can be blamed. I just want to know, what's the status ?
There are a few things, that I'd like to bring to all of your notice. This is long, but please bear with me. If you wish to restart the campaign, for one last try.. then, looking at things, in a very practical way, this is what I gather -
1. MB might not last for more than 7-8 months.
Or max it might end, early next year. The show has almost run it's due course with RK & Madhubala's story. Now it's Raja & Madhu story. I guess, it may not stretch long beyond, this year end or early next. Plus, colors has a few shows in pipeline from what people know, along with BB, perhaps. So Uttaran may be ending, BV I'm doubtful, but MB tbh. looks like it's run it's due course.
2. The whole cast wants to work together.
Yes. From what I've gathered in these few days, the whole PKYEK cast has expressed their desire to work together again, in a sequel to this show. Vivian, too has. I'm definitely sure that after MB, he'll want a small break, but he has expressed how he'd love to be a part of PKYEK2, if that comes again. Plus, Sukirti has also tweeted just now, how she's waiting to be a part of a youth based show.
3. Channel problems.
The only block is - the channel. The copyrights of every show remain with it's broadcasting channel. So, the Copyrights (CRs) of PKYEK would be with Star one. But, we don't have much information.Ekta could bring the show back, like she did for KMH. (which was in high demand). But she brought the show back on the same channel i.e NDTV imagine. Honestly, since we're not into this business & are not as well informed, we don't know what is the potential of any product which is in high demand. If the star network & the Balaji PH gather news of the demand, we never know what they can work out. As fans or audience, we just need to take a leap of faith & leave the major decisions & final call, for these executives to take.
(For example) Star plus' Iss pyaar ko returned with a season 2, but with different actors & a different PH. Because the male lead was not willing to return to TV soaps & female lead was offered other soaps. So it is finally, their call. They try to do whatever is possible & feasible in their hands for the moment. So if PKYEK fans are serious, we can try to reignite the demand for a sequel, but we should be prepared for the worst. Taking a leap of faith whenever required, whilst being practical for the most part.
4. Script.
It takes time for any PH to prepare a good script. With a production house as sorted as Balaji telefilms, if they're willing to look into this matter, they'll probably prepare the best possible script, if they're serious. but it takes time. A script can take anywhere from 6 months to 1 year. So if the demands start now for the show & if Ekta looks into this seriously, then she'll have ample time to prepare a script. By the time Vivian gets free & hopefully, if Sukirti is also free, they'll be ready with the script & other things for the show. Ekta could even approach ViSu before hand. Before Vivian is done with MB, in the last days if she approaches him & he gives her his word, then after MB, Vivian will in a way already be booked by Ekta & Balaji.
5. Something is better than nothing.
It is very difficult to say, that even if the demand arises enough & they look into the matter, they will bring back the same story & same cast again. No, they might not. That is only going to make things all the more complicated & difficult. The same story might not be there. Since PKYEK season 1 story is over. It is upto her, if she wants to prepare a script to continue the same story or prepare a new script altogether, yet cast the same leads i.e ViSu. (like she did for KMH2). One cannot vouch at all, that the same cast will be back either. May not be possible, but anything can happen. Unlike Panchi, Jeh etc, the survivors from the previous seasons can be roped in. So, fans should be prepared for anything.
6. ViSu as leads.
Even if the show, it's vampire theme or the cast is compromised for, if fans are still determined to atleast get the leads back in Ekta's show, in a new season, then so be it. Because, what is worse than changing the face of PKYEK and casting someone else for it's lead ? So ViSu's demand in PKYEK season 2 should be the focus. Cast, story, we'll have to leave it to Ekta. She can bring a brand new story of PKYEK2, maybe with/without the vampire theme & cast ViSu as two new characters, that should also be fine. Would that be okay ? She has never made the leads of one show of her's, the leads of another show too. Nah. Hiten Gauri were leads in Kutumb, but not in Kyunki saas. Eijaz Anita were leads in Kavyanjali, but not in Kayamath. So, if ViSu are wanted as leads in an Ekta show (which I believe is best. Nobody produces show like her's), then PKYEK is our only chance again. Maybe not as Abhiya again, but maybe something Vivian as junior Abhay, who holds Vampiric powers & Piya (someone else's kids) Abhay discovers his powers, experiements them..new rivals, his journey with Piya etc
If all you've read this & have been able to get my points, please let me know. If you're willing to restart the campaign & want some plans, please do convey. Since, as compared to the forceful ways in which other show fans put out their demands, PKYEK fans are extremely nice, lovely, optimistic & hopeful souls. Yet, without a little action, the demand & craze for a certain Jodi & of a certain fanbase, fades away. Remember, this is the world of showbiz.😊 So until, you come into the view of the channels & PH, the couple & it's fanbase, however huge, but if silent will fade away. We needn't make noise. Not at all. Maybe, just some strategic plans, to put our point across & make them rethink over PKYEK.
