Vahbbiz Dorabjee, better known as Panchi of Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, says she never thought of doing television. "It came to me as a surprise. When it came toPyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani I don't know why but I wanted to be a part of it. When I heard my role it instantly clicked with me. I had a strong belief it would do well and have no regrets doing it." She says the forthcoming episodes are going to be only more interesting "with some big twists waiting". How much do you relate with your character Panchi?
A lot, especially the equation with my family in the show is just like what I have with my family in real life. Like Panchi, I too am strong-headed. I love the way she deals with issues that come her way and fights for her rights.
What's the real Vahbbiz like?
I am very talkative, very naughty. I live life to the fullest. I am fun-loving girl and optimistic by nature.
Did you always want to be an actor?
Honestly, as a kid I always wanted to be a model. But deep inside I had this hunger to be a part of the entertainment industry and when this offer came I said 'yes' because I had worked with Balaji before and I was also getting an opportunity to be associated with the industry.
What do you do when you are not shooting?
I spend my time by going to the spa. I love pampering myself. I go out for movies, shopping. I spend a lot of time with Vivian (DSena) and we love to shop and eat together.
Who are your best friends in the industry?
Kashmira Irani. She is also an actor and most of the time we hang out together and Vivian is not just a friend but means everything to me, my friend, my family, my guide.
What is the most adorable thing you like about Vivian?
I am in love with him so there can't be one single thing I like about him. But yes, I like the way he behaves. He is a brat, very naughty but at the same time he is very mature in his attitude towards life. I like that contrast in his nature.
Do you believe in setting rules in your relationship?
The best part about our relationship is it gives us the feeling of being secure with each other. I don't believe in caging someone. We try and spend a lot of time together. Even if he has an off day, he comes to the sets only for me and vice versa. We are very fortunate we are working together. So it helps us to be around each other.
Has Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani changed your life?
Yes, completely. It has given me everything name, fame, recognition.
Is there anything else you would like to do on TV, apart from serials?
Yes, I would love to do a reality show specially a dance reality like a Nach Baliye orJhalak Dikhhla Jaa because I love dancing. I am a trained dancer. I have learntKathak and have also done short courses in other dance forms.
What is your dream?
Initially I had no intentions of joining the TV industry but it happened to me and now I have started enjoying acting, so films are on my priority list and I would also love to do a show opposite Vivian.
Is marriage on the cards?
Marriage will happen. It's definitely on our mind but it's too early for us. Vivian and I love the way our careers have shaped up. I don't plan things. I live life in present.
