Ever since his last venture on Sony TV, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke went off air, fans of hottie Shaheer Sheikh have been awaiting for his return to TV eagerly.
A few months back, a leading daily had reported about Shaheer's next collaboration being an intense love story that would be helmed by his Kuch Rang's maker, Yash Patnaik.
And recent reports suggested that Ekta Kapoor had roped in Shaheer for her upcoming project Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2. Shaheer had even opened up about the project mentioning that he would love to be a part of Kasautii, if things worked out for him.
The trail followed by news about Shaheer's Kuch Rang... co-star Erica Fernandesalso being roped in for the project. It can be recalled that Shaheer and Erica were quite the hit with the masses and even went on to become one of the most loved and shipped jodis of Indian television.
Now, rumour has it that the actor is in talks with Prithvi Vallabh maker, Anirudh Pathak for his next project Mughal-e-Azam.
It was only a few days back that the news of Anirudh planning to adapt the cult film for television had come out.
Reports suggest that Shaheer is still on the fence about playing Salim in the show and is yet to sign on the dotted line, but the actor has shown tremendous interest in the project.
