Chandra and Swarna were roaming around and they reached palace gardens. Swarna said look Chandra, a rose, how beautiful. Chandra laughed and said Swarna you are a warrior yet you admire such things. Swarna said Chandra when a person is in love, he or she usually admires such things. Chandra blushed as he knew she was talking about her love for him. Swarna irritated, why you always start blushing? Remember you have to become a king, will you start blushing when your concubines will lie that they love you solely to get pregnant with a prince. Chandra said stop it swarna, a King's work is way different than that, atleast a good king's work definitely is, swarna laughed and said, I was just making a joke, I was teasing you. Chandra said don't be sorry because I am in love, Swarna shocked and said With whom? Durdhara? He said No, I am in love with my motherland and this garden is part of it so I am also gonna admire it and he went to smell that rose and suddenly stated sneezing, swarna laughed and laughed, she said yeah, look how beauty kills 🤣

Nandini was in her chamber standing on her window when she suddenly saw Chandra and Swarna in the garden. She was terribly surprised and she gasped, Chandra? And with a girl? Oh no , it's bad and so bad , she ran towards the garden as fast as possible, she couldn't believe she could run that fast, she was bared lega a rose's thorn pricked her leg but she kept running, blood were coming from her feet but she still ran towards the garden. Chandra and Swarna were still having fun there. Suddenly Nanidni came running there but before she could shout his name Malayketu grabbed her from behind, he said, Rajkumari why are you in this situation? Your legs , they are bleeding. Nandini said sorry rajkumar but I am in hurry, I need to meet someone, she saw Chandra and Swarna still talking. Nandini was about to shout when Malayketu forcibly took her in his arms, Nanidini angry, put me down Rajkumar. Malayketu said, sorry for my indecency but you need medical care or else it might cause infection. Nandini shouted but I need to meet someone, please put me down but he forcibly took her away. She saw Chandragupta fading from her eyes. She started crying.

As Swarna and Chandragupta entered the palace again they saw two Yavanas talking with each other, Chandra and Swarna started listening from far away, trying to show they were part of their staff.

Philip - So you know Seleucus killed Pedicus?

Eudemus - How unloyal of his , so he captured Babylon?

Philip - Yes, with help of General Ptolemy

Eudemus - Wish we could take part in Diadochis wars then serving here, I cannot understand the customs here, even my concubines don't make me happy.

Philip- Yeah wish we could bring our own people here but the sentiments against us are so strong we might not afford it, suddenly he needed another glass of wine. He said to Chandra, hey you, bring me another glass.

Chandra got furious but he wanted to listen to their conversation more, so he humbly came with two wine glasses. And he willingly dropped one so that he could listen more closely

He said Sorry my lords, terribly sorry, Philip slapped him, you idiot foolish brat, don't you have manners, Chandra became angry but he gulped it to save himself, he put out his upper cloth and started cleaning the mess.

Eudemus - Don't waste your energy on them, wo what were you saying Seleucus captured Babylon, i have heard he didn't abandon his persian wife, what's her name? Yeah Apama.

Philip- yup, what a fool in love, mating with barbarians, I guess he did it so that he could capture Persia, Chandra was closely listening to the conversation, the Satraps thought Chandra couldn't understand them

Eudemus - I have also heard Apama has given birth to her second daughter, what's her name....I ...... don't...

Chandra was about to go away when Eudemus said

The name unknowingly stopped Chandragupta, suddenly he felt very weird, his heart started fluttering and he smiled unknowingly and without any senses of his words he smilingly said Helena, what a pretty name. Suddenly he realised what he said and felt really stupid, he said What just happened? But he brushed it off and went to Swarna...

Its quite creative and good of yours... But I as a fanfic writter likes to work on fictional charachters more over historical characters ... Cos history is a big thing to be tempered for exaggeration to creative level. .

Hence I bind within fiction stories of mere serials..🙂🙂🙂

Part XVI

Swarna and Chandra left but not without revenge in their hearts, they went to meet Akshay and to prepare for the event tonight.

Nandini was taken to a doctor who cured her legs which were bleeding heavily. Nandini was still mad at Malayketu. He said don't be mad Rajkumari, I was only worried for your well being. Nandini said I am sorry Rajkumar but I really needed to meet someone. Malayketu said whom did you want to meet so desperately? She said an old friend of mine. Malayketu said oh she is here, who is she? I will call for her. Nandini said don't bother I will meet hi... her myself. Thank you for your kindness rajkumar and she left.

Nandini thought now where I can find Chandra, in commoner's compartment? But it would be highly inappropriate of me to go to men's compartment, what others would think of me and my family if I roam there just like that. I think I should find that girl. Nandini started looking for swarna when suddenly she bumped into someone. She was Durdhara. Nandini was shocked, Durdhara, she hugged her, what a pleasant surprise, why are you here? Durdhara was shocked too and very surprised, Nandini I am here for a dance performance along with guru Maa and other girls, why are you here? I am here to celebrate the birth of Kalyani's son. Durdhara you know what I saw? Durdhara said what? I saw Chandragupta here , and with a girl? Durdhara said Chandragupta? With a girl? Here? Are you sure you weren't dreaming? Nandini said no Durdhara I wasn't dreaming, he is here , she happily said he is here Durdhara and she started swirling Durdhara. Durdhara said calm yourself Rajkumari laughingly, how love can make someone such a fool, let's look for him together, I am sure he will be delighted to see us. Nandini said , he will be delighted to see you, not me. Durdhara said no Rajkumari, when you will confess your love to him and I will tell him how gracious and kind you are, he will surely love you. Nandini said No Durdhara, I want him to love me by heart, I don't want him to love me out of gratitude and pity. Durdhara said let's leave that, first let us find him. And they went to find Chandragupta. Meanwhile Swarna went to get ready for tonight's event as it was almost evening and Chandragupta and Akshay were talking about their strategies and what the Satraps were talking about. Chandragupta said they were talking about Diadochis? What are they? Akshay said these are those Generals who are fighting among themselves to capture Aliksundara's empire. Chandragupta said hmmm...they were taking name of some sulukos (Seleucus). Very much sounds like name of Swarna's father Suluva.

Akshay said I have heard about this Seleucus, he betrayed his lord Pedicus and captured Babylon. He's very sharp cunning but never lets others see what he is thinking. Chandragupta shockingly asked how you know that? Remember we once saw Alexander and his army itself, I took notice of his main generals, Seleucus was one of them. Chandragupta - hmm, they were also saying he's the only one who hasn't divorced his Persian consort. He kept her only because he is willing to become Shah of Persia. What a cunning man. And by now he has two daughters, one elder daughter and a second daughter whose name was.....what was that ah.....Helena.

Akshay laughed, you even got to know about his family, are you a master espionage or those Satraps are so stupid. Chandra laughed, we should keep every detail of our enemies, even his families. Though his eldest daughter is young and his second daughter is still a toddler so no harm for us. Akshay said maybe not now but in future this Seleucus can be dangerous and regarding his daughters well, it will depend who will they marry. BTW daughters are of little consequence , they will probably get married and go back to Makedon so we shouldn't worry about them. Chandra said You are right, his daughter is of no consequence to me.

Part XVII

Nandini and Durdhara tried to find Chandragupta and Swarna but in vain, they couldn't find them, disheartened Durdhara left to prepare for her dance tonight and Nandini left for her chamber but she had hoped in her heart that tonight or tomorrow she will finally reunite with Chandragupta and she became happy with this thought.

Later in night everyone was there except Chanakya. Akshay asked Why Acharya is not here? Chandra said because Dhana Nanda is here. Swarna came to them fully decked up with jewellery and make up, this is the first time they saw her as such and she looked absolutely mesmerized. They were open mouthed and constantly stared at her. She said shut your mouths, otherwise mosquitoes will enter there. They shut their mouths. Chandra said you shouldn't be here, girls are supposed to sit on that side. She said don't worry, I told the guards Akshay is my brother and thats why they allowed me. Chandra said nice move, Akshay said thank God Shashank is not here otherwise he would have died if she said he is her brother. Chandra and Swarna both became serious and looked at each other in embarassment. Only they knew what Swarna felt for Chandra and probably except Acharya. No one else could understand human psyche better than Acharya.

Suhasini also came there with her father Amatya shaktar. She was very beautiful. When trio saw her she felt terribly sorry for her. Swarna said that rat wants her to take as a concubine. Poor woman probably doesn't even know it. We should save her. Chandra said but how? Her security is too tight. Maybe Acharya could help her. Let's leave everything to fate now. We cannot do anything here. Suddenly the announcement happened of Nanda family entering. Nanda with his Agramahishi and daughter Nandini entered. Nandini's eyes were trying to find Chandra and suddenly she saw Chandragupta standing with Akshay and Swarna in balcony. She became extremely happy. Chandragupta saw her and did a sarcastic bow. Nandini saw him too and smiled at him shyly. Swarna noticed it. She said ek anar aur teen bimar. Chandra said what? Swarna said nothing, just that your ahankari Rajkumari doesn't look much ahankari, infact she looks shy looking at you. Chandra said shy? Are you crazy? Wait till you meet her. Nandini thought finally Chandragupta noticed me , tonight or tomorrow I will confess my love to him. Chandra said poor Malayketu, will have to live rest of his life with this person. I already pity her. Swarna said don't say that, she seems really nice. In fact it looks like she loves you. Chandra and Akshay said what? Chandra said you are being overly comedic today. Swarna said no Chandra, whenever a person is in love it's very hard to hide it. Akshay said yeah like we always knew Shashank liked Swarna when he never uttered a single word of love and he started laughing. Chandra and Swarna stared at each other in embarassment. Chandra thought if swarna said that could be??? Impossible, but Durdhara also said that years ago, is she in love with me for all those years? It can't be, also she is someone else's fiancee so if she is crushing on me then she is promiscuous. Excuse enough for me to dislike her. Also if Nandini is here then my Durdhara will also be here. Where is she? Durdhara where are you? I long to see you.

Part XVIII

Next came Ambhiraj and Kalyani with their son, along with Kalyani were Ambhiraj's eldest wife and his Yuvraj. Pauravraj met him very warmly though it was obvious he was faking it. They greeted Nanda family first as Nandas were superior to them. Dhan Nanda was constantly staring at Suhasini making her and Shaktar uncomfortable. Chanakya was in a room. He said Indradutt, all set. Indradutt said yes Vishnu, I have talked about our plan with Kumar Malayketu, I am sure he will save Suhasini and this will create rift between Pauravraj and Nandas and the ruined party might create hatred between Pauravraj and Ambhiraj as well. And even if not we don't have to do much as inherently Ambhiraj and Pauravraj never liked each other. Chanakya smiled.

Came for the performance Maya maa and her students. Chandragupta was shocked to see Durdhara. The girls took blessings of their Guru, the Kings and then started dancing. Chandragupta was utterly shocked. He said Durdhara? Swarna said where? He said that girl, she is Durdhara. But why is she dancing in front of these kings? He saw Satraps watching the dance and giggling. This made Chandragupta extremely angry. He said oh now I understand, this Nandini made Durdhara forcibly do this. She might even send her to some king. I will kill her, burn her alive. Swarna said Calm down Chandra, maybe she is doing it willingly, he said shut up swarna, no slave does such type of work willingly. Swarna said Chandra dance is an art form. She is here to show her skills, don't overthink. But he was not ready to listen to anything. He said Nandini you will pay for this. You will deeply regret the day you made Durdhara your Dasi. He was so angry seeing Durdhara dance his eyes became red with anger. Swarna and Akshay were very scared to see him like that. Chandra saw Nandini with anger in his eyes and decided something.

Meanwhile between the dance Malayketu took Suhasini away. Malayketu said to her, Suhasini I want to tell you something. She said what Kumar? He took her to a room where she said what Kumar and Malayketu smiled at the person standing behind her. She turned and saw Dhan Nanda there. She got shocked and immediately understood. She pleaded Kumar no, please. I am a noblewoman and your childhood friend. Please kumar. Malayketu said sorry Suhasini but I want Nandini and to become Magadha's son in law. Consider yourself a sacrificial goat. And he shut the door and left. Suhasini was scared and she fell in feet of Dhan Nanda and begged him to free her. Dhan Nanda said get up lovely Suhasini. Don't be afraid, I won't do anything to you. I am not a demon. Suhasini kept crying. Don't cry my dear. Listen I have made a deal with Malayketu , I will marry Nandini to him and give him massive riches and make Pauravrdesh prosperous and I will help him against Ambhiraj as well. Remember how humiliating it was for Pauravraj to marry Kalyani to Ambhi, a man 24 years older than her. So, in return Malayketu will give me concubines and support against my enemies. It's that simple. Now I am opening this door, you can escape and be responsible for ruining future of your prince and your father or you can close the door, make me happy and I promise to help your kingdom. Choice is yours.

Suhasini went to the door and as she was about to keep her foot outside she stepped back and closed the door. Dhana Nanda succeeded in manipulating Suhasini and giving her consent so he doesnt look bad, he smirked and smiled. The plan of Acharya failed due to treacherous Malayketu.

Thanks I guess, well whenever you can get time read it 😁 because core story is taken from real history which no show showed till now 🤣😂 but obviously with creative liberty and fictional elements to eliminate weird stuff 😁

I remember last time I stopped my fanfiction and weeks later people were requesting me to write more chapter's and then I didn't have time , people were disheartened so I don't want to stop this story 🙄

Part XIX

After the performance ended Chandra left in anger. Nandini was trying to find Chandra in balcony but he wasn't there. She was disheartened again. Durdhara left for her room. Late in night Nandini went to her chamber. She thought today I couldn't meet Chandragupta but tomorrow in very early morning I will meet him. Suddenly she heard a noise in her room. She said Kaun hai? She again heard the noise. She said K..kaun hai? She took her Katar and went to see where the noise was coming from, as soon as she peaked in another room, someone came from behind and grabbed her mouth and made her unconscious. That masked man then took Nandini from her window and ran away on his horse.

Chanakya was disheartened by the treachery. He scolded Indradutt, he said how could Malayketu do such a thing? He is son of Pauravraj yet he did such a cheap thing, our whole plan failed, if Nandini and Malayketu get married, we can never make him on our side and poor, poor Suhasini. That woman became a Bali for Malayketu's ambitions. Looks like I will have to deal with these people in hard way. Indradutt said shaktar is crying and crying to see his daughter gone, never to be seen again. He is inconsolable. Chanakya said I want to meet Amatya Shaktar.

Akshay came to meet swarna late in night, Swarna said Akshay why did you come here? It's very late and it's place for women. Why did you come here? He said Swarna Anarth has happened, Chandragupta is nowhere to be seen. I am afraid he might do something dreadful to Nandini without thinking clearly. In his rage he might harm her. Swarna was very tensed with this. She said Ok you try to find him while I go and meet Durdhara and ask her what is going on with her and Nandini. Akshay said Ok.

That masked man was taking unconscious nandini near a riverbed. His eyes were flaming with anger. He had deep hatred in his heart towards her.

Swarna met Durdhara, she told Durdhara all about Chandra and what he was thinking. Durdhara got shocked and said , no this cannot happen, he cannot harm our family's benefactor, she told her history with Nandini to Swarna. Swarna was shocked. And she shouted in excitement, I knew it, I knew she loved Chandra, Acharya would be so proud of my intelligence, Durdhara was dumbstruck but she said, it's not time for following around Yavana Kumari, Swarna said I am half Yavana and my mom was from Taxila and I have been born and educated in Taxila. Durdhara said ok but we don't have time to waste but how can we meet Nandini? She would be in high security. Swarna thought of a plan. She knew Chandra's psyche really well. She said if I am not wrong Chandragupta would be by now outside, let's go. Durdhara said but chaya? Swarna said don't worry she will be fine, lets go.

Masked man was waiting for Nandini to wake up near the river bed in moonlight. As she got up she got scared, she shouted who are you and why did you kidnap me? Chandra revealed himself, Nandini was shocked but extremely happy as well, as she went forward to hug him he threw a sword at her, Chandra said dual with me Ahankari Rajkumari, I will fight with you for my Durdhara's honour. Nandini was shocked, she said Durdhara's honour? What are you talking about? Chandra said oh look how bholi you are acting. Don't tell me you didn't force Durdhara to dance in front of those kings. Nandini said Chandragupta....but he shouted Dual with me , now....or I will attack you. I won't care that you are a girl. Nandini was hell shocked. Nandini said, fine, you want to kill me then kill me. I won't dual with you. Chandra was shocked, he laughed, why rajkumari, is Malayketu that bad that you are contemplating ending your life? Nandini said what? Chandra said don't tell me that you don't know you are gonna be fiancee of Malayketu. Nandini was super shocked. She said Fiancee of Malayketu? This is impossible.

Chandra laughed, oh so you don't yet, well too bad your precious Malayketu wont be able to marry you as I am gonna kill you for hurting Durdhara. Nandini started having tears in her eyes. She said and you believe that I can hurt anything or anyone who is dear to you? Chandragupta was shocked to hear this. He didn't say anything. He said...I...I can believe this. Nandini came forward and asked why you believe this? Chandra said ah..... because......you are daughter of Nanda , Nandini came more closer and said And? He said and you are egoist. She started laughing like crazy. Chandra shouted stop laughing and dual with me. Nandini said laughingly, for so many years I was waiting to confess my feelings to you, I freed Durdhara, provided her and chaya education, did service of Mura Maa and all I get in return is your hatred. She started laughing more. I.....she laughingly said, I....kept this necklace of yours for all three years and took care of it more than myself only for your hatred in return......she suddenly started crying from laughing. Chandragupta was confused but he soon now realised what Durdhara and Swarna were trying to say. Still he didn't know how to respond. This is the first time a girl was crying in front of him like that. Swarna was also a girl but she was too tough and strong and confessed her feelings like a champ but Nandini was emotionally weak and he didn't know how to process it.

Chandra said .....wait? Am....Am I handsome?

Nandini stopped crying and got up , she said What?

Chandra said that can be the only explanation, you love me , Swarna loves me, Durdhara definitely loves me, he blushed

Nandini now started laughing, Chandra said glad you laughed. I am sorry Rajkumari, I took this drastic step without thinking. Let's go back to the palace. As he turned Nandini grabbed his hand, she came in front of him. But my answer? Do you love me? Chandra got nervous. He said ah....first tell me why you love me? I always criticised you and now we are meeting like this. Nandini said what's not to love about you. You are a warrior, charismatic,hard working, handsome like you said, you are very moralistic and there are many good things about you.

Chandra started blushing heavily. Swarna and Durdhara came just in time there, they were on horses and they got down. Chandra saw Durdhara and tears were in his eyes, he ran to hug Durdhara.

Chandra hugged Durdhara, Swarna smiled sadly but Nandini wasn't pleased as they ruined her moment with Chandra. Durdhara hugged him back tightly but as soon as she saw Nandini's sad face she broke the hug.

Swarna said let us give these two love birds some alone time, let's go princess, Nandini didn't want to but she left with Swarna as it felt insulting. Durdhara wanted to stop them but Chandra stopped her.

He took Durdhara some distance away. They both sat together.

Chandragupta said How are you Durdhara? Durdhara was furious, she angrily said why did you abduct Nandini? I am very mad at you. Chandra said I am sorry but I thought she was forcing you to dance in front of all th guests. Durdhara then told her whole story in detail. Chandra felt embarassed and extremely humiliated to have misjudged Nandini so much. Chandra said I must apologise to her and as he was going away Durdhara said , and say I love you to her. Chandra stopped, and turned back. Chandra said I will beg her to forgive me, I can even touch her feet for saving you, chaya and respecting my mother, but I am sorry I cannot say that to her.

Durdhara - But why? She is a princess, she loves you so much, she can give you a secure future. So why not?

Chandra said- First , her father killed my father and your father as well.

Durdhara said- But Chandra it was a war, I know it's painful but Nandini is without any fault

Chandra angrily said- Listen to me first

And Second, I LOVE YOU, Durdhara

Durdhara was shocked

Chandra said- I have loved you since we were kids, I love you right now and I promise from my heart to always love you in this world and after world.

Durdhara had tears in her eyes, as he bend to hug her she stepped back

Durdhara said- I am sorry Chandra, but I CANNOT accept your love.

Chandra was shocked 😯

Part XXI

Chandra was shocked

Swarna and Nandini were sitting from a distance from Chandhara.

Nandini said so are you Swarna? Swarna was eating and apple. Yes, Yes I am. Nandini said you are quite beautiful. Swarna said thank you and same to you. Nandini laughed. Chandra said you love him as well. Swarna said , oh yeah, he has a whole Antahpura situation going on right now. Nandini said I love him very much and want to be his wife. Swarna said so do I, but (looking at Chandhara) we don't always get what we want. Nandini said I am a princess, I have seen polygamy my entire life. I will accept Durdhara and even you if he wants to marry you guys but he should accept my love. Swarna said, that's Hypocrisy. When girls allow such things then they have no right to get jealous either, either don't allow it or don't play conspiracies to bring the other wife down. Nandini was shocked to listen to this. She never thought that way.

Chandra was shocked

Chandra angrily said- what are you saying? You cannot do this. I am not saying we marry right now..I have duties to fulfil too. But atleast don't say that. I know you love me. Durdhara said I cannot accept your love. Chandra said because of Nandini? Don't be indebted to her, I will try my best to pay her back but please....

Durdhara said Mura Maa said Nandini intends to marry me to prince sukesh and he's a prince you are not (faking herself as a gold digger)

Chandra laughed, Durdhara please, I know you, you ain't gold digger, stop faking it. Also if you marry sukesh, it wont be any fruitful for you.

Durdhara said why? He's crown prince.

Chandra said because I will ensure he dies

Durdhara was shocked, she slapped Chandragupta

Chandra smiled what happened? You thought of me as some mahan tyag ka devta. I will kill sukesh. Durdhara thought he meant killing him if she tries to marry him but Chandra slyly meant annihilating Magadha ruling family and capturing the throne.

Durdhara - When did you become so cruel?

Chandra - When did you become so dumb?

He came forward and cupped her face, he said you are my Durdhara, dont be afraid of anything, regarding Nandini's favours, I will ensure she gets her favours returned. Don't worry , he forcibly grabbed Durdhara's hand and went to Swarna and Nandini.

Chandra declared to them showing them his joined hands with Durdhara, he said this bond is written by God and it won't ever break. I am sorry you two, but I love her and only her.

Nandini said smilingly but also angrily- Chandra you don't understand women yet. I know you love her but one day one woman will make you so mad, in fact so mad that to want her you would cross any borders. You will be intoxicated, like I am right now, you won't ever be able to leave her, you would have taste of jealousy then, that woman will make you realise what hopelessly being in love actually means, I curse you Chandra, one day Kamdevta will struck you with his arrow, and it will be so powerful that it will ruin you, you will feel shame for it(thunderstorms ⚡) like you humiliated us today, your fate and insatiable lust will humiliate you one day. I curse you.

She took one of the horses and angrily left for the palace.

Chandra, Durdhara and Swarna were shocked, thunderstorms became more intense. He saw Nandini fading away.

Chandra said- There can never be such a woman like that who could make me like this, NEVER, no woman can be beautiful enough to make me like this.

Durdhara was scared of this , Swarna was still calm and took it lightly, let's go, last year Akshay cursed me that my food will have extra spices and my stomach would be upset just because I beat him in sword fighting, I am still waiting for food poisoning, relax guys

Trio laughed and left for the palace
