Nandini would feel jealous and in nights she would think about CGM and how he is good friends with Durdhara who is a slave but doesn't like her who is actually a princess. Nandini and CGM would get usually get in verbal spats only to be pacified by Durdhara. Seeing closeness of Chandhara, Nandini in night would want to harm Durdhara by making her ugly but her inherent goodness would stop her and she would ask pardon from God for thinking ill of a dedicated playmate and servant like Durdhara and would promise god never to harm any innocent soul. CGM's constant taunts on Nandini of being an egoist brat would make her see faults in herself and she would slowly start changing herself for the better. Durdhara started noticing Nandini's growing feelings for CGM and would discuss it with CGM who would laugh at this and told Durdhara she was thinking too much and ask her in fun if she was feeling jealous of the princess and Durdhara would deny, rather she would say she would be happy if Chandra could marry a princess and have a secured future but Chandra says he would never marry a princess. 😉
Chandragupta manipulates Durdhara and ask her to manipulate Nandini into helping him in his mission. Durdhara then manipulates Nandini and she unknowingly starts helping Chandragupta against her own father (though she didn't intended to) and after his mission completes he takes leave of Durdhara. When Nandini asks where is Chandra, Durdhara said he left. Nandini was disheartened that he left without meeting her and she says to Durdhara, hum itne bhi bure nahi the ki wo hamse Milne bhi nahi aya, then Durdhara gives her a necklace of beads and says to Nandini, jaane se pehle Rajkumari , Chandra ne apko ye Dene ko kaha tha aur sath me ye Patra bhi, and some words were written in it and the letter said
"Ahankari Rajkumari, meri taraf se apko ye pehli aur akhri bhent, sada prasann rahiyega. Aur meri Mitra Durdhara ka khyal rakhna, wo muzhe bahut Priya hai.
Apki Daasi ka Mitra aur apka shatru, Chandragupta ".
Nandini smiles sadly and tears comes in her eyes.
In night she cries a lot remembering him and she starts realising she started falling for him.
Before leaving Chandragupta told Durdhara that he was getting education from Taxila University and intended to become a legendary warrior (he didn't tell about his and Chanakya's plan to capture Magadha). Durdhara envies him and tells him she also wanted to get education.

In Taxila
Chandragupta reunited with Acharya and his friends Shashank and Akshay. He told Acharya about his mission being successful and how he manipulated Durdhara and Nandini in helping him. He praised Durdhara and ranted for an hour about Nandini. Acharya smirked smilingly on Chandra's dislike yet praises for Nandini. He was planning something for future. He thought "Age Chalke ye dono kanyaein tumhare jeevan ka mahtvapurna ang ban jayegi".
Chandragupta met his friends and saw a strange figure standing in distance. She was a girl and girls were not allowed there. There was a different university for them. Her features were also very sharp and she was attractive but had foreign features as well. Shashank wanted to befriend her asap. 🤣
Acharya introduced her as Berenice , daughter of governor Suluva (Stelios). Her father was a normal Bactrian warrior with Greek descent who was in service of Ambhiraj , ruler of Taxila. When he warned Ambhi of impending danger of Alexander and him trying to invade beyond Bactria, Ambhiraj killed him. He wanted to take young Berenice as concubine for his son , she escaped and took refuge in University. University was a sacred place and even Ambhiraj didn't want to anger the teachers who took an innocent young girl as refugee. They gave Berenice new name, Swarnakshi. Hearing her story, all boys felt sorry for her. Swarnakshi's mom was a Taxilian civilian who was a slave but Suluva married her as he fell in love.
All boys when heard the story felt really sorry for her. Swarnakshi greatly praised the teachers for saving her. Chanakya said now Berenice would also take education from the university and will be a warrior like them. Boys were happy and Chandra was amused. Swarnakshi looked at Chandra and smiled and he felt shy. Shashank was blushing seeing Swarnakshi. Teachers decided not to send her to girl's University for her own safety. She would be cared by wives of the teachers.
And they all started talking lessons together.

In Magadha
Some guests had to come to visit Dhanananda after few days. He visited mother of his beautiful daughter Nandini and told her that he wanted young girls to please his friends. She promised him to send girls soon for him and his friends. She went to find beautiful girls in Antahpura and suddenly she saw Nandini and Durdhara passing by. Durdhara wasn't very beautiful but she was young and the mother decided something.
Part IV
In night the mother called for Nandini, she arrived at her chamber. She said my darling daughter, I want to ask a favour. Nandini replied whatever you order mother, I will do it. She told her to send Durdhara in her father's service by tomorrow. Nandini was shocked and she asked why. The mother told her about the guests. Nandini was shocked but she agreed.
Later she woke up Durdhara and she told him about it. Durdhara was shocked and she fell on her feet, crying and sobbing. Nandini said, this is what slaves are for Durdhara, you are blessed you are chosen for the king's service. Durdhara said, I never wished this princess, no slaves wishes it. Still I am not being sent in service of the king but in his friend's service. I won't become a wife but a Ganika and I don't accept it. For refusing you , please kill me or I will kill myself. Nandini tried to convince Durdhara by telling her she won't only be killed but she will be killed by torture. But Durdhara was crying and begging Nandini to save her. Nandini was shocked. She angrily said if you hated slavery so much why didn't you kill yourself when you were forcibly brought in my service. Durdhara replied because I wanted to help my uncle and my beloved aunty Mura financially and I thought I would be helping the princess as her playmate and her companion and in return of it I will get good education. But I got nothing, still I have deep love for you as a friend though our status differ but I prefer death instead of serving King's guests. And Chandragupta would avenge it, if he gets to know this he will burn the whole world.
Chandragupta's name suddenly slapped Nandini, she got shocked. She remembered the words in his letter in which he requested to take care of Durdhara. Nandini told Durdhara to get up, she wiped her tears and touching the Chandra's necklace which she always wore , she said to Durdhara, I always saw you as a slave Durdhara , I won't lie, but Durdhara, for Chandra, I will help you. Her words were confirmation to both Durdhara and Nandini herself that she loved Chandra. Nandini said to Durdhara, I will not let anything happen to you Durdhara. From now on I free you from my service. Durdhara was shocked. She realised that love can make a very cold hearted princess as a loving person. You want to get educated, you will get educated.
Durdhara hugged Nandini out of joy. Nandini said but Durdhara I cannot do it openly so here is my plan. After hearing the plan Durdhara was over the top. Nandini told Durdhara to sleep soundly. She went to her own chamber and looked at moon. She touched her necklace again and kissed it. She said to herself, only for you Chandra, I will protect your dearest friend even if my father kills me. No one can hurt you and your loved ones till I am alive. She kissed her necklace again. She thought, when will we meet again? Will I be able to see you again before I get married in future? Can I myself will ever be able to tell you how much I love you? I wanted to kill Durdhara because she was very dear to you and I got jealous, and when she denied my orders I was so angry but your name always protects her. I hate it. But I cannot harm her because I cannot see you sad. Oh what this love has made me.
