So we have the same inquisitive Astha Kirloskar now who has started thinking about what is going on in Shlok's mind and what is his maksad and why is he telling about revenge and hatred. The director has very beautifully depicted the scene with smoke coming over Shlok's face and then again going away, symbolizing that he is still contemplating whether he should tell Astha the truth that he loves her and always loved her or not. Astha has no doubt about her own feeling of still loving Shlok and so her face is shown with no smoke. I do not think the fire was caused by Shlok. Shlok was seeing the smoke coming because he was seeing that may be death was coming near them and so was thinking should he tell Astha the truth before dying. The holding of Astha's hand made it obvious that Shlok always loved her ans Astha understood that.
The smoke covered them both , but then the fireman came and rescued them. Who are the fireman who are going to be saviour's of Astha and Shlok's love? They protected them together in a blanket to prevent the love to be burnt from the fire and brought them out safely. NA knows Shlok will not allow any harm to come to Astha before it comes to him and he saw that when Astha said that her husband saved her life, something whoci Shlok could not do at the time of Swati probably. NA now knows Shlok will always be with Astha. So NA will accept that defeat now for the fear of losing his son. He cannot lose his son. So I think no harm will come for Astha from NA any more. The dog during the HM has been shewed off by Shlok. NA 's making Astha chose between maika and sasural pushed both Astha and Shlok into the pit. I know NA is a bad person , but I have a feeling that NA is going to be one of the person's ( one of the fire fighters) who will actually save these two together for the sake of Shlok. Will the other person ( other firefighter) be Kalindi or Avdhoot who will save them for the sake of Astha?
NA is happy to see Shlok and Astha both safe. He also saw how Shlok saved Astha and he will accept everything for his baccha. He accepted the marriage even when the horoscopes were not matching. So a person who believed so much in traditions however accepted against it for his son. NA could clearly see Astha loving Shlok too. He saw how Astha turned back to see Shlok and how Shlok was looking at her.
NA told Shlok he wants bahu back and this has surprised Shlok because NA had asked Shlok to sign the divorce pares to which NA said that was what his DIL had ever asked him and he could not say no. So shlok knows one thing NA will always accept Astha as his DIL and so he will not let any harm come to her now. So Shlok has won this game with NA,of securing her, something that most likely did not happen at the time of Swati.
I was hoping Shlok will not drink anymore but looks like this will happen till he has complete confidence in Astha and can tell her the truth that he loves her. She was Astha Kirloskar today the girl who is not frightened of asking direct questions as she did today. He does not want To show his love to Astha openly yet since she is not yet safe from Sojal , Jaya and Abhay and Anjali too. So yes he is drinking to overcome the pain, his wounded bleeding heart that needs the bandage of love as it was given by Astha Kirloskar , not Astha Agnihotri who is his wife and who too shows she hates him too because of what he did to her after the SR.
Looks like this is why whenever he denied the truth to Astha about his love for her and hurt her, he could not bear the pain and so drank liquor to hide the pain.
I was happy that Kalindi asked to bappa to do everything good for her daughter. She did not ask for divorce. So her wish will be granted by bappa at some point in the show.
So now Astha has full rights of bahu in the house and NA will not make Anjali force Astha to follow the rituals and traditions. So the next step is going to be Shlok making Anjali accept her as the modern bahu , which we are going to see per the segments as she will go to work and Shlok will support her.
So Astha now has rights of beti, bahu, allowed to work , aaj ki nari, not abala nari. Does she have the rights of wife,? She did not use them immediately after marriage as she became only a bahu then and listened to Anjali, so looks like she will get them much later. Win win situation for Astha,. She is shown standing not on the stool as I said yesterday but on the ladder, which you climb slowly , one step at a time. Who helped her to climb up ? Shlok , so upliftment as he lifted her with the ballons. Upliftment of women - as done by Srikrishna in the broader sense of the society.
Astha tried to take out the managalsutra that Shlok put in marriage and she failed. So both will be bound by society to be together. No divorce. She did not even try to take out the black thread that Shlok put in the temple because for her that was the real managalsutra , when both loved and trusted each other. She knows and saw in Shlok's eyes that he does love her. So the black thread is not coming out.
