Part 7 Confused feelings Love or Friendship?
"Masi please will stop making me more curious and go ahead with the story, I am really angry now" Tanya said
"Ok-ok I won't test your patience for now and moving ahead with story" Shanaya said
Ok so that was Swayam for you, he had finally realized what he felt for Di but the things was that he had this I don't know what to say a certain myth about himself that the person he wants to get close to goes away from him and till now it was proving to be effective so I had no idea how to convince him that what he thought was a mere myth and nothing else.
But at that point I knew that talking to Swayam will not make any sense and obviously he had decided to sacrifice himself on Di but I needed to check whether Di felt anything for him? Logically the time they spent made Swayam feel what he is feeling right now so that will also have some effect on Di too, may be she didn't love Swayam but surely she would also have some feelings which I needed to know curiously.
Swayam was heartbroken and he was not in state to be left alone so I didn't allow him to go. He stayed over at our place only but I made him sleep in guest room so he could sleep peacefully for some time.
I was waiting for Di to come because we needed to clear something first for peace of my mind first. Di came very late but I had to talk to her so I waited for to get fresh and change and then I went in talk to her.
"Hey my little sister why are you awake late night?" Di said
"Because you have little explanation to make to your little sister about the little skit you did at dinner today" I said
"Look I know what I did was not fair by any means because you guys were there for me when I needed the most" Di said
"Oh really, I thought we were just small kids who never knew life could take such turn" I said sarcastically
"Hey baby girl I know you are angry but listen to me first. I know that guy has been a jerk to me all the while but now he has realized he cannot live without me and he had cut his hand because he was frustrated about what he did to me so I got ready to give us one more chance. It's not that I am in relationship with him but I have loved him and if he is changing then I want to give him fair chance to prove himself" Di said
"Are you sure he is changing? And are you sure you still love him and are not over him?" I asked
"Yes absolutely I was and will always be in love with him there was and will never be any doubt about that" Di said
That's it she is not even thinking about Swayam and what he did to make her the way she is now. It's only Swayam who is in love with her and if it is right than Swayam is right Di has every right to go about her way in life. But that's it now she will not face Swayam anymore because I just cannot see him in more pain seeing Di going away with somebody else.
"Fine if you think you know what you are doing than go ahead do it" I said
"Where is Swayam?" Di asked
Now why she is asking about him after avoiding him like trash in his dinner treat
"He is gone, he was tired so I told him to leave" I lied. I know it was wrong but it was for better of Swayam. I will help Swayam get over her. I left the room after that. Di went to sleep. Swayam got up in early morning as usual and left for his daily routines.
I was thinking about helping Swayam getting over it. But little did I know Swayam was very firm man he never let his emotions over power him and he was back to as he was today when I reached his house. He was all charged up to work again and it looked like he was more determined to work than ever he was. I know what the reason behind it was but I was happy that he is trying to move on. I was there to support him. I sat on his favorite couch with him.
"Hey handsome what's going on, we have plenty of work to do you remember" I said tapping his back
"Yeah beautiful and you know we are not working with that jerk producer anymore, rather we have an international producer so I guess it's time make it big what say" Swayam said
"Yeah looks like nice idea" I said
I and Swayam gave each other high five. Days went about that Swayam and I got busy with his new work. Di was in her own world but still not sure that jerk loved her or not. But I decided to give her space so that she can decide something with free mind.
And there was a change in our dinners because instead of Swayam coming over to our house he started dinner on sets or his home and I was there with him because Di had been taking dinner with Raj. But one day Swayam got ill, he was caught with high fever and cold. I called up doctor and he checked him and gave him medicines. I decided to stay over to take care of Swayam. I knew Di would be worrying for me so I called her up.
"Hello Di I will not be home today, Swayam is ill and I am looking after him" I said
"What Swayam is ill? How did he got ill, that boy seriously doesn't care of himself and what you were doing when he was working all the time you know rest is also needed no. Take care of him now and I will be there in 10 minutes, I am asking Raj to drop me over" Di said
"No its ok Di, Swayam's care takers are with him and I will manage this you go home and take rest. I will see you in the morning" I said
"No I am coming over, I cannot sleep knowing Swayam is ill" Di said
"Look Di Swayam is asleep so no need to worry and besides I am here if he needs anything so you just relax" I said
"Relax, you want me to relax but he is ill how can I be relax knowing that" Di said
"Di you are over reacting now, stay cool Swayam is fine and he needs rest so if all get here he will get disturbed so you go home and I will see you in the morning" I said
"Ok don't shout but answer my calls because I need every update on his health" Di said
"Di its late and I will update you about his health when I get back home in morning" I said and put the phone down.
But her reaction on Swayam's illness news really made me confused because if Swayam was only a friend than why would she care so much about him. There was something wrong or I was not able to see something. There was a link that I had not seen still but I needed to know exactly what Di thinks about Swayam now, because that night also she asked about Swayam but I turned her down and now she is all worried about him.
First thing I need to do in morning is to get up and talk to Di. I checked Swayam first in morning. He looked fine and so I made instructions to all his care takers about things to do if Swayam wakes up before I comeback. And I left Swayam's house and reached mine. First things I will do is get fresh and then talk to Di.
But what was more surprising is that Di was awake in the living room sitting and waiting for me. As soon as I entered the room Di was all over me and asking questions one after another.
"How Did he got ill?"
"How much work he does in one day, can't you stop him from working overtime?"
"What did doctor say?"
"How much time will it take to get back fit?"
"You gave him all the medicines as instructed by doctor?"
"Did he wake up in night? Did you give him everything he needed?"
That was it, I mean come on how many questions were there and she raises questions before I answer the first one.
"Ok now stop Di, Swayam is not working that more, but I don't know how did he got cold and doctor says he has food poisoning and yes I gave him all the medicines and he did not wake up in night..Gosh finally I replied all your questions now happy" I said
"No, why didn't you allow me to come there in night? Do you know how much worried I was?" she said
"Di I was there and besides why are you so much worried? I understand you treat him as friend but I was there than why couldn't you trust me that I can look after the guy who is like brother to me" I said
"It's not like that I don't trust you but the thing is I don't know why but the time I heard his news the only thing I know was I wanted to see him" Di said
"Why? He is just a friend and I did update you that he was fine" I said
"I don't know why and please stop saying this just a friend crap again and again. I have no idea why I am so stressed about his health and I don't want to know why I am stressed because first thing I want is him to be fit again now" Di said
"Ok I won't but you are over reacting you know, you should care about spending time with Raj and knowing him better and that's what you have been doing for last few days' right" I said
"Don't get Raj into this. It is about Swayam and yes I tried to give him chance but that does not mean that Swayam my best friend is out of my life. And he hasn't showed up to me since the day of dinner, I was worried about his not showing up and last night I had decided to talk to him this morning that why he is avoiding me but then he got ill and now you are saying he has started working on new project and I am confused because Swayam in last few months never skipped a day on dinner and our meets and now why he wants to work. He had been busy before too but he made it at dinner time all the days'" Di said
"Look Di it's very simple, Swayam wanted you to spend time with Raj and get to know him better so that you can make a better decision" I said
"But not at the cost of Swayam's health, I want to be with Swayam when he is ill and requires attention" Di said
"But I am there to take care of him" I said
"No, Swayam is ill that means you will look after his work because he cannot afford to lose his work and I will look after him. And sshh no more discussion on this required I have made you breakfast, have it after bath and I am leaving for Swayam's house and I will stay there for rest of the day and we will be having our meals there only and I have already cancelled all my plans with Raj until Swayam gets fine" Di said and just moved out of the house.
God that was really confusing what to make out form all this, she says she is his best friend and wants to be there for him but she knows I am well capable of handling Swayam then why she behaved like that and on the top of everything she left the conversation in middle leaving me confused on what to make out about this.
I didn't know how Swayam would react to this.
Tanya was smiling and Shanaya was confused why she was smiling...
"Why are you smiling now?" Shanaya asked
"Because Mom was jealous of her own sister" Tanya said
"No she wasn't, she knew me and Swayam were like brother-sister" Shanaya said
"Then also she was jealous and I can totally make out why she left so early, but what excites me now is how did they confess, first of all how mom realized that Dad were the one she cared most about in this world" Tanya said
"Well I said your mom-dad shares the strangest stories, because some how they both knew they were in love but things weren't that easy to realize and confess it to each other. I am still not finished with the story" Shanaya said
"Then go ahead and finish, I am all ears" Tanya said
"Ya-ya I know, I know you are all ears but I am all thirsty now so let's get some water before we go to next round" Shanaya said and grabbed the bottle of water to eat and Tanya waited patiently this time to start the story again.
