I wouldn't mind seeing Harshad Chopra replace Viraf as MJ. He was supposed to be the co-contender for the role before Viraf was finalised. He is a good actor and does intense roles well. Don't know if long hair will suit him though. He has worked with the channel before. Lets see who they will bring in. The character of MJ is too important to kill off. They can send him back to jail for sometime and get the replacement ready by the time he comes out again thanks to Tara tracking Radha and proving his innocence.

Starplus does not have a record of holding on to all their leads. They shut show when their lead quit for BW film which is yet to release. Yes, he quit after more than 15 months and the story was mostly told unlike here where the story is just warming up.

Sorry for the sabbatical, had some of my own issues. And voila, I am welcomed with this awful news of Viraf quitting EBI.

I am one of the few who has been hooked on to EBI from day 1, or rather from the day I saw its very first promo and I was in love with every aspect of the show.

Let me get this straight that I am NOT going to tolerate any EBI without Viraf, even with the character dead, leave alone think of a replacement.

No reasons for me are strong enough to justify if Viraf actually has a valid reason to quit or any kind of sympathy for the makers that I will gulp down anything I am offered to drink by them after this.

When the show started off I always thought of it as a short term show with a distinct track, about a convict and his redemption through the power of love. And I really believe that such short shows have their own charm to it.

Every episode is a roller-coaster, every episode adds to the story line rather than being a filler and the viewer knows where the track is heading to instead of loose ends being left out.

Don't beat me up for this but I had always wanted EBI to be such a show with crisp episodes, taking the story forward everyday and wrapping up when time demanded. But some stretched tracks really disappointed me especially the scenes wasted on Kalavati which neither led us to sympathize with her nor gave us a valid reason to hate her, or maybe the time wasted in Mriara MUs.

Come'on guys! This is so pass, dating back to the ages when TV shows ran for as long as 7 years, when you "had" to add a track just to keep the story going.

I never really thought EBI can be this kind of show as it had a plot that was already decided, the suspense would be out and the show over.

I know filler love scenes are needed for the show to be continuing but few and impactful scenes are better than a galore of seemingly same scenes every now and then...

If at all Viraf has to pursue greener pastures, then taking into account that he still has a great rapport with the CVs, I would request the CVs to make the storyline more to-the-point, stop beating around the bush, and clear all the suspense to wrap the show on a good note.

Yes, its better to end this rather than expect us to make compromises...

We really wish this show to depart leaving a good taste in our mouth and a good feeling in our hearts rather than like a tasteless chewing gum which poses us the question Take it or leave it!!!!

Fans will move on... We always do but this time I'm feeling like someone close to me died. MJ meant that much to me. I really wish someone responsible had played this iconic character...
