Model-turned-actress Gauhar Khan was still feeling euphoric a day after being declared the winner of season seven of the reality show Bigg Boss. In the glittering finale held on Saturday, host Salman Khan declared Gauhar the winner, after she spent over 100 days in the house.

The contest was a close one, and Gauhar herself admitted that she thought Tanisha had won the final round. "At the finale, when I saw Tanisha's mother (Tanuja) I thought she had won the show. So it was a real shock when Salman called out my name! I was thrilled!" Gauhar said.
While she takes home a trophy and a '50 lakh cash prize as the winner, Gauhar took back something else too from the show. "Every season of Bigg Boss has had some chemistry between the contestants... this season, I fell in love," she admitted. "Kushal (Tandon) and I understand each other. He was my confidant in the house. (After this) when we're together, we need to think about the future."
In this season, there was a minor controversy of sorts when Kushal and Gauhar had disappeared into a bathroom at the BB house together for several minutes. "There are cameras everywhere in the house, it was the one place where we could talk," she clarified. Gauhar also talked about the other controversial pairing in the house this season " that of Tanisha Mukherjee and Armaan Kohli. "Armaan and Tanisha are not talking much about themselves right now, but I've stayed with them, so I can say that they love and respect each other. I wish them all the best for their future and hope they'll always support each other," Gauhar said.
While she may have only the most magnanimous words for Tanisha " who was the first runner-up in the show " the fact remains that back in the BB house, the two women were never close, or even very cordial.
"I don't know what problems Tanisha had with me," said Gauhar. "But I think she's a very nice girl, she has a strong personality. Maybe now that we're out of the house we'll have a chance to meet (on neutral ground)."
Gauhar said it'll take some time to get used to life outside the house " she'd become so used to cooking for the other contestants in the BB house. "I've even forgotten my own phone number!" Gauhar said. With the New Year just a day away, Gauhar said she still hasn't made any plans, not at least with beau Kushal. "I have no idea if we have New Year plans," she said.
As for now, she's basking in her win, which she thinks of as the culmination of 10 years in the glamour industry: "I really appreciate what the audience made possible for me. I intend to continue with films, reality shows and if I really like the offer, even daily soaps."
