First and foremost, WONDERFUL post. I had to think for a while till I commented because I was simply speechless at the way you've intricately woven those words together. Your post was as unearthly as the whole sequence. I could completely imagine each and every part while reading. I'm glad Snigdha commented on the shared post in FB and I came across this post. 😆
Coming to the actual sequence,
Just one word to describe it: SURREAL!
The whole time I was thinking, is this a dream or is this actually happening? This is by far the most passionate sequence of KriYaansh ever! This surpassed Haye Rama too.
As you said, I could always see a glimpse of the ArSha in DID whenever there was a dance since I am way too affected by it.
Today, it was unabashedly and purely KriYaansh. The fire in their eyes was different from the one between ArSha. It was not that of friendship that ArSha share which is usually visible. Today, it was of passionate love but even through the passion, it was soothingly calm. Maybe it was the song, or the actual dance, I don't know.
'Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin' perfectly described their feelings at that point, mostly Rey's though. Their expressions were so perfect throughout the sequence. There wasn't a single moment that I could look away. I was expecting the rain part of it to be the best of it all but the lead up to the rain, i.e, from the thunder to the actual rain was mind-blowing. The moment when the first raindrops fell, the fire started to burn brighter, almost as if it was fighting with the rain that it would not burn out.
There couldn't have been a better rain sequence or a time for one. Just like how the rains come after the clouds can't take the weight and pressure of the raindrops anymore, it came perfectly at the time when Rey was starting to break under the weight and pressure of his relationship and the dance was adding to it. Similarly, when the rain starts pouring, the cloud is free of the pressure and weight and it simply lets go, Rey let go of all his inhibitions and was light after a very long time. I absolutely loved this symbolism that the CVs showed. Very well written.
Then came the dance in the rain. It was free, passionate, beautiful, graceful, elegant, soulful and it was simply them dancing all their hidden feelings out.
For Rey, it was the love he had or still has for Kria which is buried deep inside him and his brain refuses to let out and for Kria, it was all her pain and loneliness which she could finally share with Rey through this dance. While she danced, Rey supported her through it all. Another beautiful symbolism by the CVs.
As soon as the dance ended, time stopped for them. Neither of them wanting to move away from the bliss of staying in each other's arms but they had to go back into the real world, the world where Rey disliked Kria and Kria didn't consider herself Rey's equal.
The Ohhoho was pretty much cliche and repeated but yet beautiful because of their acting. Kria shivering and Rey giving her the jacket gave her the hope and confidence she needed to ask him for the next rehearsal and he without a thought nodded his head.
And then came the O Saiyyan Re sequence.
It was a pure and serene sequence.
The first scene where Kria has a smile on her face, not knowing and realizing about the heartbreak awaiting her and not thinking about the consequences. From confused, she was very happy but it wouldn't last long.
On the other hand, Rey was just shocked. Simply, shocked. He was still not back into his thinking. His brain had stopped working and his heart was still at work. Everything he was doing was unconsciously and without having a second thought.
Then Kria coming out of the shower, thinking everything is normal again. I felt sorry for her because, little did she know that these actions were going to have consequences soon.
Rey splashing water on his face made me want to comfort him yet shout at him. The force with which the water was coming out and he was splashing it perfectly mirrored his inner turmoil. I was so confused throughout this part because I wanted to slap him for going back to the cold guy but it wasn't his fault either. He just believes what he knows and no one can blame him for that.
I have a feeling that he won't forgive her until the whole story is laid out in front of him because what she did in his mind was unforgivable. Simply unforgivable.
The episode ended for me there too. The rest of it was ordinary compared to this sensuous and peaceful sequence.
