Toh vijay bhaiya ji, aapne toh under 16s restrict kar diya . Ab mature content post Karne mein kya problem hai which is not po*nographic in nature?
Secondly, what's funny is that indian judiciary has legalised 16 as the age to have consensual sex, yahhaan tasteful mature / lovemaking scenes post karna is a crime .

Well its a policy decision we have taken right from the beginning that we DO NOT allow sexually graphic content (you may call it tasteful mature / lovemaking scenes) and it has always been appreciated by majority of our members.

Even if something is legalized do you see people doing it in "Public". Anyways do not want to go much deep into this as it has been discussed several time. If you want to post such content you can post on other sites which has no such reservations.

Regards,

I really don't understand how all this 'moderator' stuff works but Maxine does have a point, those who don't follow the IF code should not be given any responsible position in the forum.I take this opportunity to make another important point here, which I have also made in some other post but which probably went unnoticed. Its about authors who present violence/rape/physical abuse as something romantic, it really makes me mad. Attributing such qualities to characters that half the members here are worshiping is a pathetic way to get readership for your work. A sensitive issue like rape is being handled in this immature way and it must not be treated as something romantic because it surely has a negative impact on our young impressionable readers. I can understand stories where the female has been raped and is recovering or has been physically abused and how she picks up the pieces of her life from there onwards, but stories where the hero or male lead is shown as someone raping the woman and terming it as 'love'(sh*t, its not even worth calling sex/lust)is just awful. I can't mention names because those FF's turned me off and I didn't read further so I can't remember the names but they are surely there, without any check.

High time this point was raised...and there couldn't have been a better 'incidence' to finally pave way for this.
I have not read through the 15 pages but as is the general custom, one can't help but take into consideration the routine mudslinging, name calling that will be a part of this. And so for a change, amidst all that will occur (or already has), there's just one thing that is of utmost relevance.

Will we finally get an answer?

Edited:

I need to do my homework...which involves
1. Get to know the job of different titles present on the forum.
2. Wait till the rank gets converted into a viewbie and then come back, all guns blazing

First of all I will would like to say that there is some sort of misunderstanding here. The person who is being reported is not promoted as the moderator but a Coolbie.

Coolbies do not have moderation rights so where is the question "You cant have moderators openly flouting the rules".
Since you have now reported the post the moderators of the Forum will surely check the above mentioned links and they will take all necessary step to make sure that it is in compliance with IF Code of Conduct and Terms of Service.

Regards,
Vijay

Thanks for responding. It's very heartening to hear directly from you. I'm sorry I said she was a Mod, when she's in fact, a Coolbie. But my understanding is that a Coolbie may be promoted to a Mod. In any case, she IS a part of your Dev Team and that's simply unacceptable unless she complies with all the rules set by you and your team.

Secondly, we've had many positive interactions with Moderators in the past. But the knee-jerk reaction I've seen off late, compelled me to make this post. Previously, if someone reported a post- a moderator may have actually taken the TM's account into consideration or given them a chance to edit their post, before locking a post down. If that is done most times, unless the content simply outrageous, it would be appreciated. It's quite obvious that they sometimes simply react to the "report" and shut a post down. That's just not fair, especially in busy threads where the TM can't keep track of who is saying what.

Finally, please take a walk around your fora. Especially the FF section and some of more busy TV show fora. The number of stories that are in violation of your Code of conduct (at least with respect to mature content) are overwhelming. If you intend to crackdown on violations, please crackdown on ALL violations with equal vigor. It's not fair to target only some people because some other people have an issue with them-which is what usually happens.

Many thanks for the response!

I'm glad you bought it up. This...and there are so many other issues the site needs to fix. I can't even begin to count!

Regards,

Who said about doing IT in public? And well there is a difference between sexually graphic content and tasteful mature / lovemaking scenes. I do not call the former latter or vice versa.
Now I remember the FF DT posting a note on a reported story(that now has been shifted to a blog , I don't remember the name) that the content wasn't graphic and is allowed. Now on one hand authors can't write stories where the couple moves beyond kissing (refer to ff rules) and on the other hand the DT herself is admitting that LOVEMAKING in a particular story isn't too graphic, which was true in that case.
Regards,
A confused IFian

PS I welcome your joootas Max.
PPS Thank you Vijay Bhaiya for taking time out of your hectic schedule to reply.😊

Errr...writing about IT and doing IT in public are two different things.

Also if something is legalized to be done in public, IT very well can be done in public and you or me or anyone else can do two hoots about it without violating the law.

Also I understand that not writing about IT is your policy decision and thats cool but what about the policy decision of no one under 16 to be allowed on IF? A bit convenient isnt it to choose which rule to enforce and which not to as long as it gets you more and more members? Nice.

PS - To the 'innocents' and the gullible - IT is not something you need to be ashamed about. IT is sex and its the most natural and fundamental thing about humans. Toodles.
