The FF awards nominations started with you readers/members suggesting the stories you read.
The most suggested stories were categorized into best FF's/SS's/OS's in all the genres that are been written on IF.
The voting threads were put up and you had to vote for your favorites.
The stories getting maximum votes by us , the readers , were declared winners.
Now if you want that we start calling C.W.Lewis to judge then that will be terribly pressurizing as he rests in peace somewhere.

The DT's have no say in choosing the winners please remember that.
Its we who do that.
With this also remember that someone's popularity begins with something that makes them popular.
Everyone is not going around handing out sweets. They have put in effort to have this certain amount of recognition.

Also as you say that "good" writers/"new" writers don't get awards then surely with so many members on IF , everyone cant be friends of the same person right?
So why don't you all suggest , nominate these certain writers?
The FF forum has an "advertize your stories section" , why don't you help these writers advertize their stories...?
In the help desk , the writers you're blaming come forward to support new writers by pm-ing their BL about new stories.

So how can you go around saying that "popular people" get the awards , when as members we have made them popular.

No one here was a "born popular writer". IPK started in 2011 and from that time people have built up their friend lists and popularity by being active , participating , opinionated and working.

And if these awards mean so much to you then please from next time take a stand when the nomination list is made not when the results have been declared fair that square.

As for now you're saying suddenly about the OS contest then no result can have favor all the participants.

I am a reader and moody writer both... Joined IF this year only and for now I am back after a month break.
Yeah I had seen FF awards post..
If I will talk as a reader then now a days everyone want acknowledgement.. Some writers outta their acknowledge and appreciate readers through scraps. Readers love it. And I was also shocked a bit then but now I had left reading her stories long back. So readers vote for them!!
But as a readers I have seeen some groups out there too. Like CC group!!
I know its shocking a bit but its true. That's why when these groups vote to only whom they like and friends with. If u want I can tell u secretly *wink*
As a writer, i write coz I love and want. I have 35 buddies but only 15 had read my work always. I doesn't mean I will fight with other 20. I don't force them to read.
One thing that pinched me in FF wards post is that 'Famous Reader'... :o :o
How can it be possible?? How can u choose a famous reader???

I have taken a stand maybe you have not seen it and about me helping the writers when let me tell, that I help them very much. I have told my readers to give them a chance and I support them by being their readers also. So I do tell them about the nomination list then let me tell you that then the nomination list came or when the readers were voting, I had more important things too do, my mother was in the hospital that time and my mind was not on the award also. If my mother was alright then I would have written this topic back then. if we are the ones to make them popular, then we should also give chance to someone else too. About the OS contest, how many times I have to say, I have no problem with the OS contest, I love the idea of no one knowing the writer and you just judge on the story.

True .. If the method of voting offended yu ... Yu shd hv made the post earlier prior to the declaration of awards ... Now respect what THE MAJORITY OF READERS HAVE DECIDED ... Cause this votin etc was not BIASED ...

as far as awards are concerned being in the nomination with almost 5-6 stories is a big thing. All cannot win and everyone needs to accept it... i accepted it atleast. but i am really thankful to all my readers for nominating my stories ONS 1 ONS 2 ONS 3 Forbidden Desire, BFTW 1 BFTW 2 and My Life without you... it proves that people like most of my stories not just won and that is more than enough for me... i am specially happy for those who supported Pawn... yes it is written for a cause and i would have been happy if that FF won an award... but ya never the less for me my entire friend list and likes on my FFs are proof that i am liked by many people and thats more then enough for me 😃

When i started writing mujhe pata tak nahi tha koi award hota hai... and mujhe clause bhi bata nahi tha...

at the end of the day i am happy with the awards and the DT but ya next time i would definately expect to make the awards fall into a system with proper rules mentioned from day one...

let me tell you that during the normaination, my mother was on the hospitel because she was really ill and I was hell worried. My mind back then was on my mother and for her to be alright. If my mother was okey, then yes, I written this topic back then. If you are happy with the award system then fine but I am not and most members are not, so it is time to change the award system. I am not scared to take a stand when it is needed, let me tell you
