A big thanks to each and everyone who have liked this update of mine till now😳:

After half an hour, she was ready to go out and face the world. She was dressed in a simple pink salwar. Since she wasn't either in a mood to do any make-up, she also didn't check her face at all, didn't realise that all the sobbing of last night had left marks on her face. She opened her door, and had barely started to walk in the corridor, when the last person she even wanted to hear, shouted her name.

Chapter 3

"Miss Sakshi," Arjun said behind her. She wanted so much to ignore him and continue walking, but then realizing she was a mere guest in his house, she stopped and waited for him to join her. Within a few seconds, he was next to her. She looked at him and prepared herself for any insults, but one look at her face, and Arjun's whole demeanor changed. He no longer looked angry at all, in fact he looked worried.

Unknown to Sakshi, her eyes looked swollen and her face pale, and this was visible to Arjun. He didn't know why, but he didn't like seeing her like this. He didn't even like her for god's sake, he thought to himself. But then convinced himself that since she was a guest in his house, then it was normal he'd be concerned.

"What happened?" Arjun asked gently, and saw that Sakshi's eyes were starting to fill up again.

Sakshi had expected more insults, however his gentle voice shattered all her strength and determined indifference towards him, and her eyes started to fill up again. She immediately turned away from him, her back facing him now. She couldn't let him see her cry, and anyway she doubted he even cared whether she cried or not.

"Aren't you feeling well? Is there a problem?" Arjun probed again.

But Sakshi just nodded her head in a negative way, and having controlled her feelings, she started to walk down the stairs.

Arjun was really worried when he saw Sakshi's crying face, but when he saw her walking away without even answering her, he felt a sudden anger towards her. This was heights of bad manners, here he was worried for her, and she was ignoring him. His male ego didn't permit this at all.

So pushing all sympathy aside, he grabbed her arm and forced her to face him. Sakshi was completely stunned when she felt Arjun grabbing her and forcing her to look at him.

"Let me go," Sakshi said angrily, and tried to release herself, but his fingers bit even more in her arm.

"First answer me! Who the hell do you think you are!" Arjun asked angrily. No one dared walked away from him, that was his prerogative. And a stranger doing that was even worst.

Sakshi's eyes started to fill up again, this time from the pain in her arm, "You are hurting me," she said raising her head to look at him. Her voice, the words she said, and even the look in her eyes seemed to affect him. He immediately released her, and since he was confused about what he was feeling, he decided to leave before he could hurt her even more.

Sakshi stared at his retreating body with tears. She didn't understand his antagonism against her. Why did he hate her? She didn't get much time into thinking more, because right then, she heard the opening of a door in the corridor, and saw Sam making his way towards her. He'd have to be blind not to see Sakshi's swollen eyes. But since he didn't know that she had heard them talking last night, Sam was confused as to what had happened. But when looking down the stairs, he managed to see Arjun's back going in the dining room. Sam thus thought maybe Arjun had scared Sakshi. He knew that marrying Sakshi was something Arjun didn't agree to, but that doesn't mean that Arjun could shout or say anything to Sakshi.

Sam felt it his duty to protect her, so he went closer to her, took her hand in his, and said, "It's ok. Arjun isn't a bad person at all, don't take whatever he said the bad way!"

Sakshi couldn't believe this, Sam was defending Arjun, and instead of reassuring her, he was again trying to fool her. Sakshi had never been more ready to say that she didn't want to marry him at all. She opened up her mouth to say these words, but just then Mrs Rathore came out, and so she didn't say anything.

Sam had been observing Sakshi's face, he could see a determined look on her face, but before she could say anything, his mother came. He wondered what Sakshi was going to say, it seemed a big thing given her stance.

They all went down to have their breakfast, and everything was quiet. Each seemed lost in their own thoughts. Arjun was staring at Sakshi's face, he didn't like her teary face. Sam was confused as to what to do. Was he being fair towards Sakshi?!

Mrs Rathore felt a bit guilty because just a few hours earlier she had been talking against Sakshi. Her conscience seemed to pain her.

While Sakshi was busy thinking about how she'll return back. She had decided to tell Sam that their engagement was off after the breakfast, but since they were supposed to stay here for one week, and she didn't want to stay here anymore, she was busy scheming on how to go away, and if she had enough money on her for the fare.

Soon after breakfast, Arjun got up and went away saying he had a few things to check.

"Surely he was going to check out my background, look out for more flaws on me!" Sakshi said to herself with a glare towards him, which didn't went unnoticed to Arjun sharp eyes. Arjun wondered why Sakshi was looking so angrily towards him, but thinking she was probably angry for what happened near the stairs, he didn't ponder much and went away.

Mrs Rathore tried to make some conversation, but since Sakshi was still hurt, she didn't participate much. So silence reigned for a few minutes, before even Mrs Rathore ran away after excusing herself.

Finally the appropriate time had come, Sakshi would be able to tell Sam her decision. She opened up her mouth to say something, but right then Arjun entered back and told Sam that a few friends of Sam's were here waiting for him outside. Sam went away, leaving Sakshi alone with Arjun.

Sakshi didn't feel any friendly feelings towards Arjun, so she lowered her eyes to stay at her empty plate, and waited for Arjun to go away. But unfortunately for her, Arjun didn't seem to understand her silence; he was still standing on the other side of the table.

Out of curiosity, she raised her eyes to look at Arjun, and what he was doing. She was shocked to see that he was staring at her. She just blushed for no reason, but still she dared look in his eyes.

She waited for him to say something, anything would do, given his stare had started to accept her a bit too much. When she no longer could look in his eyes, she lowered her eyes and looked everywhere except at him.

After a silence which seemed to last for a long time, instead of mere seconds, she heard Arjun pulling out a chair, and sitting down just opposite her.

"Oh God? What will she do now? What did he want from her? Why was god testing her like this? Why didn't he just go away?" Sakshi whispered to herself.

"Miss Sakshi, I'll hardly just disappear even if you ignore me," Arjun said coldly.

Nice update.
Arjun didn't like to see Shakshi's crying face.And Shakshi keeps blushing under Arjun's gaze.
Shakshi wants to call off the engagement but someone keeps appearing and distracting her.
