Virat was sitting in the flight excited to go back home, back to his love. He didn't even think that he could fall in love with Manvi. He was a fool to think that she wasn't perfect for him. The truth was she was everything he needed. She was smart, witty, innocent and the one person who could subdue his ego. And most of all she loved him so much that for his happiness she let him marry somebody else. He had a huge smile on his face. He could only think about Manvi at the moment. He was imagining how it would be when he would confess to her and give a hug that would sweep her off her feet. But he didn't think of the consequences of his acts he had done the day before.

Vadhera Mansion

Everyone of Vadhera and Chaudary family was sitting in the hall furious after knowing what Virat had done. Vikram didn't know what to do with his son. He was feeling guilty because he was the one who sent Manvi there and tried to make his son realize that she is the right person for him. But he was wrong this time. His son had hurt Manvi so much that now he wondered if they were really meant for each other. Manvi was like a daughter to him from childhood. When Virat left them for his studies, it was Manvi who became their support. Of course he wanted her as his daughter in law from the start but after what Virat did he didn't trust his son to keep her happy. He couldn't spoil her life. He was so angry at Virat at that moment that no one could save Virat. On the other hand Mdan was upset that his daughter had to go through so much. He knew that Virat was the right guy for her and he wasn't upset with him. He knew Virat didn't realize yet.

Far from all this anger Manvi was sitting there lost in deep thought. She suddenly realized that Virat didn't love her. He didn't care for her like he did for Tanya. He didn't try to protect her but instead supported Tanya. When he slapped her it was not the physical pain but the mental pain that Virat didn't support or protect her from the world. Reality struck her harshly. What was she thinking? Would he support her and neglect Tanya whom he loved? Who was she after all? A friend? Neighbor? Nothing else. She was nothing to him. And that moment she decided that it was a waste to expect from him. Though she still loved him she couldn't expect him to be there for her. Maybe she was emotional at that time' her inner mind said but she didn't think about it. Keeping all these emotions inside her she said only one thing outside.

"Main shaadi karna chahti hun. Agar koi acha ladka ho toh main use milne ke liye tayaar hun." And she walked away leaving everybody there in pain for that innocent soul and anger for Virat who caused her pain.

Vikram thought about what Manvi said and instantly agreed. He didn't want to spoil her life again by giving false hope to her that his son would come. Instead he started looking out for all the good guys who would keep his Mannu happy.

Madan on the other hand wanted to wait and let Virat come and talk to her. Maybe he realized after she left? Maybe he would come back and marry her? But looking at Vikram and Manvi's face he didn't want to tell them his thoughts. So he agreed half heartedly assuring himself that his daughter would be happy.

But one soul was different from all of them and that was Viren. He didn't like the idea of Manvi getting married to someone else but Virat. He remembered how his saale sahaab and Manvi got along so well during his wedding. Of course he was angry with Virat about what he did but his instinct over powered his anger. He was thinking about his last phone conversation with him when he called to tell about Virat's wedding with Tanya.

Flashback

Virat: hello jiju!! Kaise ho??

Viren: saale sahib aap bataiye. Shaadi aapki ho rahi hai.. khush hai na tu.

Virat: of course khush hun. Aur toh aur Manvi bhi hai yahan mere saath.

Viren: haan who toh hai. Toh tayariyan kaisi chal rahi hain? Aur Sidharth ki shaadi kaisi thi? Enjoy kiya?

Virat: acha hua uski shaadi ho gayi. Bechari Manvi ke peeche padta tha. Haan shaadi mein bahut maza aaya. Maine aur Manvi ne bahut enjoy kiya. Aapki shaadi ke baad iss shaadi mein itni masti ki Manvi ke saath.

Viren had got a slight hint that his father in law's plan was working. So he tried to add fuel to it.

Vire: arey bhai maine socha phone haath mein lunga toh Tanya ka naam japega but idhar toh kuch aur hi chakkar hai.

Virat: matlab??

Viren: matlab yeh ki shaadi tumhari Tanya ke saath hai aur tum khush isliye ho rahe ho ki Manvi tumhare saath hai. Tabse usi ka naam le rahe ho. Think about it man. Kahin kuch galat toh nahi kar rahe na tum.

Flashback ends.

He thought that his talks also would affect Virat but his saale sahib was such a bhondu' that he didn't understand yet. He sighed. His wife also wouldn't help her own brother because she was more angry with him. So he took out his phone to call Virat and give him a piece of mind when someone tapped his shoulder. He turned to look at the one person he wanted to slap hard right now.

Viren: Virat!!

Virat was giving his jiju a thousand watt smile like he won some award. But his smile wasn't there for long enough because he saw his jiju's wild avatar.

Viren: kamine kya kiya tune??

And he started punching him and pushing him back. Virat was getting scared. After a few punches he made his jiju cool down. Viren told him everything that happened and emphasized on how much everyone was angry with him. Virat gulped and thought about the consequences he was about to face.

Virat(with pleading eyes): jiju ab aap hi meri madat kar sakte ho. Please kuch karo.

Viren: mujhe tujhe aur maarna hai but abhi ke liye ek badi problem solve karni hai. Pehele toh jake Madan uncle se maafi mang. Who bahut upset hain terese.

Listening to Viren's advice he went to meet Madan. He walked in to see Madan sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. He slowly went towards him and kneeled down beside him. He placed his head on his lap.

Madan raised his head and saw something he never expected. Virat was never one who would get emotional. He used to think very practically. But today seeing him like this he knew that he had realized his mistake and his love.

Virat: I am sorry uncle. I didn't mean to upset you or Manvi. Main bas itna pagal hun na. kabhi sochta hi nahi hun ki kya karta hun. Aaj bhi jaldi mein decide kar liya ki Manvi mere liye sahi nahi hai. Aur dekhiye aaj pachta raha hun. Im really sorry. But I promise main sab theek kar dunga. Manvi ko bhi mana lunga. Bas aap ek mauka de ke dekhiye. I assure you iss baar koi galti nahi hogi.

Madan smiled and placed his hand on Virat's head.

Madan: marte waqt Manvi ki maa ne mujhse ek hi vada lya tha ki Manvi ke liye aisa insaan dhundhna jo use hum sab se zyada pyaar dega aur humesha use khush rakhega. Aaj maine woh vada pura kar liya hai.

Virat lifted his head immediately and Madan nodded his head in assurance. Virat hugged him tightly understanding that he was ready to give him another chance.

Next day

Virat was living in the house but everybody moved like he didn't exist except for his loving jiju. That was a different thing that his sister was now angry on his jiju too. But he had one big problem on his head and that was that a guy was coming to meet Manvi. And he had to stop him.

The to-be-bridegroom's family had just arrived at the Chuadary house. And Vikram and Madan were welcoming them. Virat was standing near the entrance hiding behind a pillar. He thanked God because the guy was standing outside talking over the phone. He knew it was the time.

He slowly moved towards him and stared at Manvi's window with sad eyes. He noticed that his sautan' had been looking at him from the corner of the eye. Finally he spoke out.

Guy: umm aap theek hain??

Virat: huh ya im okay. Though my love is going to get married soon. Aapko pata hai woh bahut kboosurat hai. Very funny and beautiful and smart also. Lekin pata nahi mujh mein kya kami reh gayi ki usne shaadi karne se mana kar diya.

Guy: usne mana kar diya?? Aap kitne waqt saath the??

Virat(in a dramatic way): jabse hum paida huye the.

Guy: huh??

Virat: matlab hum dono ka toh janmom ka rishta hai. Toh har janam hum saath hi rahenge na. isliye bachpan se.

Guy(a little confused): ya ya. But usne man kyun kar diya.

Virat: kambaqt yahi toh pata nahi. Na jane kaun mil gaya usko. Uss ghonchu ko toh ulte pair latka ke maarna chahiye.

Guy(getting scared): umm woh inseam main hi hun.

Virat(acting like he didn't know): oh. Im so sorry. Mujhe pata hi nahi tha. Don't worry she is very good. Very sweet girl. And very cooperative. Khana bhi acha bana leti hai. Han gussa bahut aata hai toh kuch bhi phek ke maar deti hai. But otherwise achi hai. Aur kabhi kabhi talli hoke aa jati hai but phir bhi sweetheart hai. Aap isse zarror shaadi ki jiye.

Virat keeps blabbering without noticing that Manvi was standing behind him with her hands on her hips. He looked at the guy who signaled him to look back. He turned and jerked back after what he saw. Viren who was standing a lilt far away enjoying the scene mothed oops' but soon he shut his mouth after seeing his wife angrily glaring at him.

The other guy and his family left the place after seeing the drama even thought Vikram tried to stop them. Manvi had little tears in her eyes. And she walked away angrily into her room. Virat followed her calling her name but she didn't stop. Vikram tried to stop him but Madan held his hand indicating that they had to deal with it.

Once inside Manvi's room Virat locked the door behind him. Manvi was pacing here and there. Virat opened his mouth but Manvi shut him.

Manvi: don't even try to talk. Kya kar rahe the tum. Pagal ho gaye ho. Pehele khud dur bhaga dete ho mujhe aur phir sabke saamne aise behave karte ho jaise maine tumhe chod diya. Tumne pehle mujhe thapad maara tha. Jab hurt hoke wapas aa gayi toh sorry bolne aaye ho?? Mujhe nahi chahiye tumhari sorry. Jao yahan se. jake shaadi karlo Tanya se. aur mujhe bilkul invite mat karna. Main nahi aane wali. Aur tum shaadi kar rahe ho na toh main karun toh kya problem hai tumhe? Kyun uss bechare ko bhaga diya. Aur kya keh rahe the. (throwing her hands in the air) saath janam ka rishta hai humara, bahut khubsurat hai. Bahut cooperative?? Aur han gussa aata hai toh kuch bhi phek deti hai? Tumhe kisi ne pucha ki apna opinion do waha pe. Tum jante ho nay eh sab sunke bhag jata woh. Toh kyun kiya?? Mujhe kya zindagi mein shaadi karne hi nahi doge kya?? Bolo kyun kiya tumne yeh harkat? Mujhe khush nahi dekh sakte. Pehle khud shaadi se mukar jate ho aur phir kisi aur se shaadi karne nahi sete. Kyun karte ho tum aisa??

"KYUNKI MAIN TUMSE PYAAR KARTA HUN" finally Virat yelled after her continuous blabbering which he couldn't bear. Manvi stood there shocked to the core. Wait did she hear it right? Did he really say he loved her? No no way. He must be kidding. Maybe he said to make her feel alright. But her eyes were telling something else. Virat got down on his knees in front of Manvi. And took her hands in his.

Virat: I love you Manvi. Bahut pyarkarta hun tumse. But khud samajh hi nahi paya main. Jabse tum pehli baar meri baahon mein giri thi shayad tabse pyar karta hun. Isiliye oh tumhe tang karta tha iss ummed mein ki tum mujhse baat karo. Tumhare saath rehne ke bahane dhundhta tha. Par pata nahi jab shaadi ki baat aayi toh mujhe laga ki tumhari aur meri duniya alag hai. Tum kabhi mujhse pyar nahi karoge. Kabhi khush nahi rahoge mere saath. Aur na main tumhare saath. Mujhe laga woh khushi sirf tab kit hi. Par main galat tha. Who khushi toh humesha sirf tum mujhe de sakti ho. Mujhe laga ki shayd main Tanya ke saath khush tha par main khud ko dhoka de raha tha. Main sirf tumhare saath khush rehta tha. Aur jab tum kisi aur ladke ke paas jati toh mera khoon khaulta tha. Itna gussa aata tha mujhe. Aur finally jab maine tumhe thappad maara toh tumse zyaada toh shayad mujhe dard hua. Jab tumne mujhse kaha ki you love me main khush ho gaya. Jab tum mujhe chod ke chali gayi aisa laga maano meri zindagi mujhse cheeni ja rahi hai. Yeh sab sunne mein shayad filmy ho but mere dil mein yehi sab chal raha tha. Main nahi janta ki aaj tak jo maine kiya uske liye maafi kaise mangoon. Par yeh zaroor janta hun ki tumhare bina yeh zindagi nahi jee sakta ab. Yeh jaan chukka hoon ki pyaar do perfect logon ke beech nahi hota balki do imperfect logon ke milne par perfect banta hai. Please mujhe maaf kardo Manvi. I promise to keep you happy always. Kabhi tumhe hurt nahi karunga. Sab kuch chod do jo hua aur nayi zindagi bitao mere saath. Main kuch bhi karunga. India wapas shift kar lunga. Tumhare liye dance academy bhi kholunga but please mera saath mat chodna.

All this time Manvi had tears in her eyes. How did she get so lucky? How did he even get him? Who loved her so much? That he was ready to do anything. She realized that she was so wrong. He did care for her. More that anyone in this world. He made her realize that she was his world. He looked into her eyes with anticipating eyes. She slowly pulled him up and looked at him.

Manvi: itna dialogue baazi karne ki zaroort hi nahi thi. Main toh aise hi maan jati agar sorry bolte toh. But haan main tumse gussa hun/ itni zor se maar tumne mujhe. (pouts like a child).

Virat(smiles with a teasing look): iska bi ilaaj hai mere paas. Saying this he slowly moved closer to her. Moving his hands around her waist he pulled her towards himself. She crashed into his chest. She was starting to get nervous. He moved his face closer to hers. She could feel his breath on her face. He moved his lips towards the cheek he slapped her and placed a kiss. That kiss contained so many emotions. Guilt, happiness, a little sorrow and most of all a lot of LOVE. He moved his lips away and caressed her cheeks with his cheek. A shy smile appeared on her face. He moved away from her and saw that she was blushing and has a little smile. And he knew his purpose was fulfilled. She couldn't bear his eyes and hugged him tightly. He too hugged her back showing all his emotions in that hug. She his her face in his chest and murmured "I love you Virat." He whispered back "I love you too Manvi" and placed a kiss on her neck and buried his face in her hair. Thus started a journey of two people who were totally opposite to each other yet so close. A journey to fulfill a promise to keep each other happy life long, a promise to be together under any circumstances, a promise to support each other in difficult times, a promise to love and cherish each other for a lifetime and more.

5 years later

Manvi was struggling to keep her eyes closed due to the sunlight and turned to the other side hiding herself into which she thought was a pillow. But soon realized it was her handsome husband's chest. A sweet smile played across her lips. Virat slowly moved his lips towards her ear and whispered

"Good morning love!!" and placed a small kiss on her head. She slowly opened her eyes to witness her husband staring at her with a naughty smile. She moved and placed a kiss on his cheek and wished back

"Good morning handsome."

Virat: kya baat hai aaj bada pyar aa raha hai pati pe??

Manvi: pyar toh humesha hi hai. Kyun tumhe nahi hai ? she asked and winked at him.

Virat: acha!! Nahi mujhe toh nahi hai. He shot back.

Her mouth formed an O shape. "kyun??" she asked literally shouting.

Virat: ab tum utni khubsurat kahan ho. Aur moti bhi toh ho gayi ho. He said feeling bad.

Manvi became totally upset and her tears threatening to fall anytime.

Virat: arey yarr mazaak kar raha tha. Bhala tumse kabhi pyar kam ho sakta hai kya. Tum toh meri jaan ho jo meri pyari si angel ko iss duniya mein lane wali ho.

Manvi first smiled with relief but then turned to angry.

Manvi: angel kyun?? Mera prince hoga. Pehle bhi angel thi.

Virat: haan toh I want two beautiful daughters. Agar baad mein chahiye toh do bte for you. He said and winked.

Manvi(slapped his chest): beshamram!! She exclaimed. Virat laughted a little and leaned in to kiss her but then something was tugging his pant. He looked down to see his two year old cute daughter Muskaan standing with her hands on her hips. just like her mom' he thought. He leaned down and picked her up and placed a kiss on her cheek.

Muskaan: aap mereko uthane nahi aaye. Aap chote baby ko hi uthane aa gaye. Aap mujhse kam pyar karte ho. She said putting.

Virat: aley le mele baby ko aisa laga. Yeh toh galat hai. Main toh meri angel baby se bahut pyar karta hun.

Muskaan: chote baby se bhi??

Virat: haan chote baby se bhi.

Muskaan: phir chote baby ko pyar kaun karega. She asked innocently. Nahi aap use bhi mere jitna pyar karna okay. She said happy with her decision.

Virat nodded his head and kissed her affectionately. Manvi too came into the family hug nad placed her hand on her swollen belly as if including it in the hug. And they waited for their second biggest happiness after Muskaan which was due their journey of love. Or to say the journey of IMPERFECT LOVE.

"Love isn't finding a perfect person. It's seeing an imperfect person perfectly."
