abhi tho saare pages finish nahin kiye but wow, awesome replies so far ๐ ...tum tho chuppe rustam nikle ๐ ๐. ..chalo main bhi apne taraf se thoda sa pareshan kar deti hoon ๐ (if somethings been asked before than just ignore ๐)
1) What would you do if you woke up and found you were the only person left on the earth?
i'd clone myself, introducing some major distortions to get a female version. ๐that shld get us going all over again i'd think๐
2) If you could go back in time and witness any event in history, what would it be?
oh, any of the events around world war II. have always been fascinated by that bit of history. i'd pick D-Day, June 6, 1944, the day the allied invasion of Normandy began. the day that inspired movies such as The Longest Day. the sea-landing crafts, the airplanes, all that gear must have been till that point the most awesome force ever arrayed in the history of mankind, the most terrifying sight ever. from that day on, the Nazi days were numbered.
3) To whom are we responsible: to religion? to the nation? to nature? or to our own self?
i'd say it's ourselves, with nature a close second. religion and nation are mechanisms society has constructed, and are ultimately derived from us. without us, there's no religion, no nation. so that leaves us and nature. between the two, if we act responsibly to ourselves, we would also take care of nature. not sure if the reverse would be true though. i also feel in some philosophical sense we transcend nature. if we are not there, there's nothing, no nature. that might be arrogant thinking, but then that's one man's view of the mankind-centric universe for you.๐
4) What is the importance of love and laughter in life?
haha, a lot. all love is good love. ๐and laughter too, unless it's the mean mocking kinds.๐
5) Do you have any idols in your life, whose philosiphies you live by? If so, who are they?
lots from our country's past itself- Mahatma Gandhi, Gautam Buddha, Bhagat Singh for example. but here, i'd like to mention just one person, that too from another country, someone i think most people might not know about and whose life sort of paralleled the great ones from our own country- Raoul Wallenberg. he was the Swedish diplomat and businessman who helped save 100,000 Jews from Nazi extermination, often at great personal risk. he was born into a life of enormous privilege and could have lived a very comfortable life. but he did not, choosing instead a path which ultimately lead to his capture and disappearance. i dont know if he had any defined philosophy but his life seems to have been one of doing the best he could do to help others. to my mind, that's as good a philosophy as any i can think of.
6) Dedicate 1 English and 1 Hindi song that you would like to sing for the following members: ๐
