Ganga knew Jagiya was engaged,Everything happened in front of her eyes only. Ganga knew nobody will approve their relationship. She was sure abt Jagiya's past and the Haveli people's sorrow. Nothing was hidden. Still she showed the slightest protest.

Sorry but I disagree. If someone wants to stop something, they can but if someone does want to, they don't. G's hands were not tied and neither was she made dumb that she could not stop / speak. She could have easily said 'Doctor sahab yeh sahi nahi hai, na mere saath, na aapke parivaar ke saath, or na Saanchi ke saath.' (or something on these lines)

She could have easily made him step back and that's all she had to do. Everything else was J's job and his look out.

And then if J still wanted to marry her, he would have convinced his family. Told them what happened with Sa at coffee shop, told them what happened to G in Mangalore & why he has brought her back. And finally told them how he loves G and not Sa. His family is very sane. They would have supported him.

They would felt proud of G for her sanity and dignity. They would have then welcomed both J-G with an open heart (including Sumitra)
