This is technological drama. Here they are not showing real Ban [ in Hindi ].It's automatically created when they pull string.

It's wrong.Actually they are showing this to attract Youngsters.

Archery can't be done like this.Thumb is needed ...Eklavya was great archer. To stop him,it's indeed need to take his thumb.

Yes! technically you definitely need your thumb to hold the bow in the first place. You're thumb gives a firm hold to the bow so the thumb is very much necessary =)

Yayati seems to sow the seeds for every instance that later leads to war.

Yayati exploits his sons and daughters

He gives so much importance to a son obeying his father etc but in my opinion he is the worst parent in the whole epic. he demands his sons to exchange their youth for his old age(1000 yrs of old age!!) and wheb they refuse he curses them. 😡
He effectively prostitutes his daughter to four different men😡 in place of giving 400 aswamedha horses (because she could also regain her virginity at will). But instead of getting angry she forgives him and choses to become an ascetic and helps him attain heaven!!

The theme of asceticism as a practice to rid oneself of rage is a recurring theme in the Mahabharata.

He is a character🤬

I've never heard about Yayati's daughter...would you mind posting the story (if you have an online source that is) 😊

**edited** never mind I found the story 😕

If you are a right handed archer, you will hold the bow with your left hand stretched out. With you right hand- the thumb and the index finger- to be precise, you will position the arrow and pull back the bow string.

The thumb is essential.

Despite taking his thumb, Dronacharya, could not stop Ekalavya from becoming a great archer. Eklayva practised even harder and became a left handed archer.

Why did Ekalavya join the Kaurava side in the war, given what Drona had done to him? He could well have stayed neutral.

Also, did Ekalavya have any connection to Krishna's enemies, such as Jarasandha, Rukmi or Sishupala, as shown in BRC?

He didn't participate in kurukshetra. I'm not sure what's his relation with Jarsandha. Maybe his tribe was something like mercenary?

Was he? I haven't read about his role in the war in KMG itself, but I had read elsewhere that he fought on the Kaurava side in the war and was killed by Arjun
