Yes! technically you definitely need your thumb to hold the bow in the first place. You're thumb gives a firm hold to the bow so the thumb is very much necessary =)

He gives so much importance to a son obeying his father etc but in my opinion he is the worst parent in the whole epic. he demands his sons to exchange their youth for his old age(1000 yrs of old age!!) and wheb they refuse he curses them. 😡
He effectively prostitutes his daughter to four different men😡 in place of giving 400 aswamedha horses (because she could also regain her virginity at will).But instead of getting angry she forgives him and choses to become an ascetic and helps him attain heaven!!

yes definitely before. he gets crowned after completing his shiksha.

Why did Ekalavya join the Kaurava side in the war, given what Drona had done to him? He could well have stayed neutral.
