coz I have never heard 'islamic mythology', 'christian mythology', new to the forum hence thought of asking it here

Westerners called our shastras myths (in other words, lies, fairy tales). Indirectly they were insulting us and God and the devas. At least we should not be using that word.

Jesus Christ walking on water is not called a myth by the westerners.

exactly my point

I see members here themselves talk about our gods n then in the same line write 'mythology'. maybe most people don't know myth is "A traditional story accepted as history". it is funny that IF, an Indian site uses the term myth n masti and all r cool with it 👎🏼

ok...whether treta or dwapar yuga...krishna came after ram...right?? n, u urself sayin that krishna came towards the end of dwapar yuga...so do u know how long a yuga is?? dwapar yuga was approx. 8,64,000 yrs., so even if ram was in treta yuga n krishna in dwapar yuga...there was a huge time gap between the two..almost 8,60,000 yrs min...things change in such a huge time period...they changed then as well!!!! so, u had sita undergo agnipariksha while draupadi n amba didn't have to prove their innocence!!!!

ahem napster...MYTH is any story whose existence cannot be proven by any other artifact other than a book!!! simply stated, if HARRY POTTER was written centuries ago...it would be a myth today coz no such wands or brooms would have been found to say that the story stated in the book is true!!!

our history is not myth...agreed but the story of gods is considered mythology bcoz we don't have any other proof of their existence other than the puranas, upanishads, vedas, etc!!! i mean, we say ram was born in ayodhya n krishna was raised in gokul...but the funny part is that if u go to gokul, u find more that 5 houses whose pandits say that this was krishna's house...here he was tied by yashoda, etc...d same goes for ayodhya...so, without proof and on the basis of a book...we worship god...n thats y his stories are myths!!!

for atheists ofcourse they'll need artifacts to 'prove' that god exists. Religious people know, god exists so I don't like a whole forum being named as 'myth'. as simple as that.

HP is obviously not a true story so anyone going to look for wands is foolish.

I don't know which pandits you are going to looking for krishna's house 😆, while ram setu and dwarka have been found, I'm sure you follow the news. there are more intelligent members on this forum who can enlighten us on this.

Yes, India is being ruled by a non-Hindu foreigner, and a rabidly anti-Hindu political party.

(At least we should not spell God with a small g. That is fit for atheists, not for us. And I hope you know the difference between devas and God.)

god is not petty enough to be pissed off when i write it in small caps

thankfully India is a democratic secular country and not based on a religion, so I don't care if it is a non-hindu as long as the party is elected. those looking for a country based on religion only can go elsewhere.
