Chapter 15-

It was time for the engagement to begin and khushi hadn't given him even once glanced towards him... clearly she was very very angry!! But he had a surprise planned for her on their wedding... how can he spoil it? Nevertheless he can't explain those to her now... Can he?!

Chote... khushi bitiya... Come and stand here. It's time to exchange the rings... said nani lovingly...

They both came onto the stage and stood by each other, one totally ignoring the happenings and the other bowled over by the person standing next to him...khushi was totally miffed... first Arnavji doesn't do anything to pacify her and then stares at her like she is some delicious dinner and doesn't even have a simple sense to ask a sorry...!

But she was khushi kumari gupta... and she knows how exactly to tame her Arnavji...the rings were brought and everyone were cheering for the couple except one who was very busy planning his next attack..

Shyam had miserably failed in his 1^st plan... He had thought if the Gupta's won't turn up at the right time; then the Raizada's well face a very bad humiliation eventually leading to the break of arnav and khushi's engagement... but guess that did not happen! He thought the car would not be repaired and everything was going according to his plan if only that idiotic driver mohan had not repaired it!!! well this was not the end... he would try and try until he succeeds... No matter what he will make sure that khushi was always his!!!

On the other hand nani called out for khushi...

Khushi bitiya put your left hand forward...

Now was the time! Khushi thought... No nani...

There were loud gasps heard everywhere... even shyam couldn't believe what he heard... was khushiji breaking off with arnav? Then this must has to be his lucky day he thought!

What happened khushiji? Why aren't you not giving your hand? Asked Anjali totally perplexed and worried...

Arnav knew why khushi was behaving so... but he had no idea that she can be so stubborn at times!!! This was something he never so in khushi or he failed to notice probably he mused remembering her stubborn attitude when she had joined his office in the beginning...

Until Arnavji doesn't convince me for his mistake I won't get engaged to him! She stated...

What the...! Khushi stop kidding... this is not the right time for all this...

Me and kidding? No ways... it is you who didn't pay heed for my words... now don't expect me to give in... she was as stubborn as him!

Nothing serious nani... khushi wanted me to wear something traditional... but I wasn't very comfortable in all those sherwani's and all... so for that madam is angry...!

Exactly saalesahab... what is this? You can't even fulfill a small wish of khushiji? Asked the screeching snake who was willingly to add ghee to the burning fire! All eyes turned towards him... no matter how ever upset she is with her Arnavji...she can never stand someone else pointing finger towards him, especially not that shyam!!!

You don't have to worry about that shyamji... khushi said in a sickening sweet voice... MY Arnavji knows how to take care of me and my wishes...she said stressing on the part MY!

Shyam was totally enraged... he knew if khushiji still tested his patience then he would really blast out anything that came to his mind...alike his saalesahab even he never had control over his anger! But now was not the time...Raizada's considered him to be a gem of a person... the ideal damaad everyone wanted, he would never take the risk of spoiling his image! And the Gupta's will never open their mouth as they know how much Raizada's trust and rely on him... so the rest was assured. There was nothing he should fear for... but the great lawyer had forgotten one thing! That his brother-in-law was one heck of a shrewd businessman and no one and nothing can escape his eagle eyes...

Arnav was totally angered by shyam's remark but was cooled down immediately after khushi's exact rely for him... but that doesn't mean khushi had forgiven him right? Coz she still had her back towards him signaling him that he should apologize or convince her soon otherwise... who knows what madam will come up with next?! With that thought in mind he started making plans and went near the DJ to talk to him about his huge love confession plan...!

As khushi sensed that Arnavji was nowhere around her she turned to see that Arnavji was talking to DJ about something...

Is he planning to get engaged to the DJ that she refused? Was the thought that crossed her mind as she saw he him in deep discussion with the DJ!!!!

Suddenly all the lights dimmed and she could see a spotlight on her Arnavji who was making his way towards her... And a slow music was beating in the background...

Arnav came near her and held her soft hands in his and started lip sinking the song played in the back ground...

Khushi was too emotional after hearing arnav's confession... So she cupped his face and started singing...

The whole of guests who were watching the scene unfolding before them were mesmerized to see the intensity of love this pair had for each other... arnav and khushi smiled through moist eyes as they realized that they can never be far from each other and the distance between them will only make them die each passing moment... so arnav hugged khushi till no air could pass through them and both together sang...

tere ishq mein meri jaan fanaa ho jaaye sang khushi who was overwhelmed with the intensity of love that arnav's eyes conveyed... Arnav then instantly closed her soft petal lips not letting her utter even a word and was too shocked that his love of life loved him way more than he can ever imagine and with moist eyes he sang...

hain itna dard ke tera daaman bheeg jaayega they both were smiling through tears and couldn't stop themselves from saying that they would always want to be with each other and sang,

There was silence for a whole minute watching the couple madly in love...then the whole audience broke into a thunderous applause making the couple come out of their dream... khushi moved away from arnav instantly and a blush spread across her face seeing everyone seeing them with appreciation. Arnav thought acted he wasn't affected only knew himself how out of senses he had got and light embarrassing thought did pass through him as the people first say THE ASR in this type of a lover boy avatar...then they heard Anjali calling them it is really getting and late and when they were near the stage arnav took hold of khushi's hand and asked her in a slight whisper,

Am I forgiven meri jaan?! He asked with a twinkle in his eyes making khushi go redder...!

Yes my rajkumar... answered khushi who was no less than THE ASR after all...

They soon were once again standing next to each other and Anjali and payal handed them their respective rings and soon the engagement got over with everyone happy and contended that life was giving them such a beautiful chance ahead to lead a wonderful life...

Yes the life was indeed wonderful and life will give many chances and is very unpredictable thought shyam who was on his way to make his plans to spoil the future of the Raizada's... especially the mighty Arnav Singh Raizada.
