Rakhi's goodwill gesture for Lakhia

Recently, one of Rakhi Sawant's biggest dreams came true. Says the item girl, "I have always wanted to work with Mr (Amitabh) Bachchan.

My wish has finally been fulfilled. I am doing a cameo role in Shootout At Lokhandwala and share scenes with him."

Goodwill gesture

Sawant recently shot with Dia Mirza, and Sawant plays herself while Dia plays a reporter. When asked how she nabbed the part, Rakhi says, "It's a fabulous role.

Even though it's a small part, the audience will be in splits when they see me on screen. I have some amazing one-liners in the film. I'm amazed Apoorva Lakhia thought of me for this role. He said that it was sketched with me in mind."

When asked if she did it for free, Rakhi says, "Yes, it was a goodwill gesture. What money can I ask from them for two days? But I did tell them that they should work with me in their next project too. I would love to do a kickass item song for Apoorva. It would be fun."

'Bedi' good!

It is believed that Rakhi plays a character inspired by Pooja Bedi, who was being interviewed at the scene when the actual shootout happened.

Producer Sanjay Gupta elaborates, "Rakhi is Appu's vision of what Pooja Bedi was 10 years back. I think it's great to have her in the film."

Apoorva Lakhia too is all praise for Rakhi. He says, "She's a time bomb and had all of us in splits on the set. Her role is brilliant and it will definitely blow everyone away."

When asked about her condition of working with him in the next film, Apu says, "It's sweet of her to come down from Hyderabad and shoot with us for two days. I would definitely love to work with her in the future. She's an amazing person."
