WOW! I loved it. it turly had me in tears. The way you potrayed Jai's emotions was amazing. him breaking down, Jai Walia, who never breaks down but breaks others, broke down in front of god, in front of his own family, it was just great.

The way you potrayed everyone's connection to Bani and how much she's changed them, given to them, made them realize so much, it was amazing. she's touched everyone's life in one way or another. it was just too emotional. very well written!

loved the way jai confessed his love for her. better late than never!

i hope bani's injuries aren't as bad and jai will be with her through out. i hope there are no more misunderstandings between them regarding Pia! 😡

Chapter 30

Jai was happy that Bani had come out of her revive but now he was loosing his patience as the doctors were not informing him anything rather they were conducting tests after tests. Adi called to ask if they all could come and see Bani.
Jai: That I will have to find out.
Adi: Jai is there something you are not telling us.
Jai: I just don't know they are doing tests after tests and not telling anything the main doctor will be out with the chief surgeon after which they said they would be giving me detailed report on Bani's recovery.
Adi: any ways massi and Rano are coming down to see the babies. Anu and Jigyasa will be coming in later. I have sent Sahil and ranveer to office while Pushkar has gone to Pune to meet up with the dealer. So just let me know if you want something offices front no worries.
Jai; Thank you Adi. I owe you for this buddy.
Adi: No you don't we all would like to help you and that is what family is all about Jai. Its time I think we all owed up to our responsibilities rather than leaning on to you for everything. By then the nurse came and informed Jai that the doctors were waiting for him in the cabin.
Jai was introduced to a team of doctors. Jai was wondering why he was being introduced to so many people what is exactly wrong with Bani.
Jai: What is all this about? I hope my wife is in no danger.
Chief Doctor: Mr. Walia your wife has come out of the critical stage but if you ask us is she back to her normal health we are quite sorry to say that it may take months before you could say that.
Jai: I don't like things to be told in riddles. Please get straight to the point. I don't care for the cost of her treatment but she should get the best treatment that's all.
Doctor: We understand Mr. walia that you are in apposition were you can demand and give the best for your wife but some things take time and nature has its own course.
Jai: what are you trying to imply.
Doctor: well your wife has suffered some injuries from her fall I think you are aware of one is her ankle fracture which will be operated shortly and corrected and then she has a simple hay line fracture too for her right wrist which is being bandaged. No the major injury is to the back. She has slipped her disc which is cause of concern because she already complaining of too much pain as it touching one of the nerve ending and its is a long process requires long sessions of therapy and compounded with her other injuries it will be a while before she can come back to her normal self.
Jai: Are you trying to say that she will be bed ridden for a while.
Doctor: Yes.
Jai: For how long.
Doctor: That depends.
Jai: What why can't you all give me a definite answer.
Doctor please Mr. Walia you have to understand there are limitations to what we can do and then lot depends on your wife's will power.
Jai: What are you trying to say? You can be sure of one thing the family and myself would be there to support and encourage her in every step she takes.
Doctor: It's not that easy. Mr. Walia you will be seeing your wife literally in pain during the therapy sessions which is not a pleasant sight and many times even the strong willed patients become despair when the desired result doesn't come out. In short Mr. Walia more than the patient you are never to show your emotions in front of her. You have to put up a brave face in case of adversaries and the most important thing when the therapy starts she will be in lot of pain the patient is likely to give up but we can never let that happen and for you to watch that and not do anything about it is quite frustrating. We will be informing your wife step by step her progress to better health.
Jai: all I want her is to be back as she was. The rest I will bear with. But as for the pain can't she be given some thing for that.
Doctor; that is what I said there are limitations to what can be done.
After wards the doctors proceeded forth to inform Bani about her extent of injuries Jai sat there and held her hand he could feel her tightening the hold on his hand as they explained the course of treatment. After they left.

Bani: this is what happens if you go and bark at the wrong tree.
Jai was lost at that comment.
Jai; what are you talking about.
Bani; if I didn't have that stupid conversation with Pia I would not have ended up here.
Jai was wondering what she was talking about.
Jai: What conversation. Just then Bani realized that she had never told anything about that incident in the party or the phone call she received telling her that Jai was injured while it was Pia.
Jai now wanted to know what was exactly going on and till he got the whole story out of Bani he didn't move out of there. Finally.
Jai: Pia has a lot to answer for and she will do it starting now. The menacing look that Jai had in his eyes made Bani scared as she had never seen that kind of an emotion in Jai's eyes ever. She felt like that given and opportunity he wouldn't mind killing her.
Just then Adi walks in with massi and Rano. Jai on seeing them excuse himself saying he has to see someone Bani immediately new he was going to see Pia.
Bani asked Adi to follow Jai as he was going to see Pi and he wouldn't spare her.
Adi: she deserves that after what she did to you.
Bani: That is not the point. Adi uncle you don't want Jai to go and murder some one he is in that kind of a mood please go before it's too late.
Finally Adi goes and stops Jai but Jai gives his piece of mind to Pia.
Jai: Pia you are never ever to come anywhere near my wife. If I see you even just glancing at her you are dead meat. Just because Bani said today you have escaped from the wrath of Jai Walia but there wouldn't be next time. So be careful. I may forgive and forget what you did to me but Bani never so remember I always have an eye on you so watch your step any step that leads to my wife be sure to turn back or you will have to face the wrath of Jai walia and let me tell you it is not something you want to encounter in a life time. And I think you know I never do idle threats. Same time I have to thank you also for going out of my life as that made me realize my love for Bani and take her as my wife that is one reason one you are off the hook so don't misuse the advantage you have.

Bani's surgery is over and they are about to start the physiotherapy sessions with her. Bani can't do much with her babies so Jai and the rest of the family take care of the babies along with a nanny. She even finds it hard to feed them somebody has to place the babies for her so that she can feed them moreover now the babies were brought home and their health was improving and they were out of their incubators After six weeks Bani was discharged from the hospital but still a lot of adjustments had to be done as she had the plaster on her leg and couldn't put weight on to her back she was in a wheel chair. But anyways she was happy to be home and today the naming ceremonies for the babies were to take place. They had decided to name the babies Udit and Krishna in the memory of Jai's parents.

The family was all supportive to Bani's recovery and therapy session though at times they felt helpless over not being able to help Bani for all the pain she was suffering due to the injuries.
Rano felt bad the most as her sister she couldn't be of much help. Moreover Bani didn't like the whole family trying to help her out with things. She felt frustrated at times. Hence Jai mostly stayed at home as she never spoke against Jai in any matter. So he would help her in most of the thins like going to use the washroom, being there during her physiotherapy sessions, trying to treat her rashes on the skin because of lying down in the same position for too long, read toher. It was like Jai was being half nurse to his wife in spite of having a home nurse he did most of the work and Bani never felt uncomfortable around him but with others she always felt frustrated. Jai had a way with her he would never give in to her and make her do exactly how things should be done.

Rano was discussing about her di's progress with Anu: Rano; I just cannot figure Di out. She is comfortable with Mr. Walai tending to her but if I were to ask her to do the same things for her she would just start shouting and telling me to mind my own business and that she is not crippled.
Anu: give mami time the doctor also said that the patient feels frustrated at times over their incapableness to do things like before.
Rano: but how come with jiju di had no problems. From the time of pregnancy Di always listens to Jiju and now this is getting on to my nerves.
Anu: Mami just doesn't want us to see her pain. With mamaji she can never hide anything so what is the point.
Rano: I guess you are correct. But can you believe it jiju practically does everything for her. To tell you the fact Jiju spoils Di rotten.
Anu: That even I can certify but he spoils her rotten even if she was not bedridden. Believe me he takes care of her like a mother hen.
Rano: It's nice to have someone like that.
Anu: so finally Pushakar has got your attention.
Rano: What Pushkar God please half the time I don't know where he is in Bombay Pune Delhi or some other part of the world.
Anu: How come you know so much about Pushkar?
Rano: I know what everyone knows that's it.
Anu: Come on you are talking to me. I always tell you about Rohit and you never discuss your love life with me.
Rano: for that I should first have a love life. I hardly get time to complete my projects and studies.
Anu: Please not again about your medicine studies please we get to hear that enough in the house as it is.
Rano: well I got nothing more to say about my life right now other than that.

As months passes by Bani gets better now she has started to walk better and the kids have become nine months old and she has gone with the babies to see the doctor.
Bani: Am I doing well doctor.
Doctor: your progress is excellent Bani and now you can start doing the things normally you did before the accident but I want you take it slow. Next time you decide to get pregnant please consult me.
Bani: Is there some problem doctor.
Doctor: Nothing like that but since you had bleeding problems and it had affected the uterus we would like to make sure before you are deciding on babies that your are healthy enough to hold the baby. That is all. Consider it as part of your routine check up.

Slowly Bani started moving back to her old self and everyone was now happy that Bani was well settled with the babies as initially she had difficulty with the twins. They were more comfortable with Jai rather with Bani. They had a big birthday bash for the twins on their first birthday. Jai felt that his life couldn't get any better than it was now.

But then as he came form office after about two months he saw that everyone in the family were having the tea but Bani was no where to be seen.
Jai: where's Bani
Massi: in her room.
Jai: why hasn't she come down for tea.
Jigyasa; she is angry with you
Jai: For what
Anu: you should know that mamaji
Jai: when I went today in the morning she was perfectly fine what you all did to get her mad.
Sahil: hold it mamaji we had nothing to do with this.
Anu: yes Bahi is right only you mamaji can be so reckless.
Jai: what before you all drive me nuts I better go and find out for myself?
Tarun: ya best of luck and congratulations too.
Jai: for what
Adi: I guess Bani will tell you for what.
Jai: Just out with it.
Tarun: And miss the show no way.
Jai: fine. And goes up to Bani
Bani is sitting on the sofa reading a magazine with her foot up.
Jai: Hello darling how was your day and comes and kisses her on the fore head.
Bani: you better stay away from me.
Jai: Now what did I do
Bani; what did I do. You are the only one to blame for my state.
Jai: what is wrong with your state now? You look gorgeous.
Bani: Stop it Jai it's not funny
Jai: what's not funny and tell me what is the problem
Bani: the problem is you
Jai: me
Bani: You just can't keep your hand to yourself.
Jai; that is not my fault I have lovely pretty little wife who and goes to hold and tries to kiss her on the lips.
Bani just then pushes him away.
Jai: Ouch Bani that hurts now tell me really what's bothering you. Because as far as I know I don't think I have done anything wrong to you.
Bani: Wrong. Well then just read this report. And hands in a paper.
Jai reads it and is shocked and keeps looking at her and the paper.
Jai: Is it true
Bani: You have the nerve to ask me that. And walks out
